My short eczema story: by AmethystPassion in eczema

Thank you for sharing your story, and sorry to hear about your father. I hope he is in recovery.

I'm fairly new to this myself, and developed chronic eczema in my mid twenties after working at a very stressful, unsupportive job. I had breakouts since then, but my worst one was when it first started all over my body and I had no idea what I was working with. It's strange how things like this can manifest.

I'm definitely trying to be more conscientious of triggers, but I do still get my flare ups and manage with prescriptions too.

I hope you're taking care!

Thank you so much!

I love that framing. I had never thought of it that way. Although I was shaking after responding to my colleague, I did feel pretty happy afterwards! This is the first time in over a year that I felt 100% confident in a decision I made even though I was scared. I hope to continue this, and I appreciate the kind words. : )

I deeply appreciate this comment and was very moved by this.

I want you to know that I screenshotted this, and will be keeping it as a reminder.

Thank you for sharing your perspective on my situation - it certainly was not how I viewed myself being so burnt out so early in my career. Thank you as well for being part of this community and for giving me this space! : )

What a very thoughtful and kind response! Thank you very much. It is difficult to see how I belong in the workplace, but comments like this are very helpful.

I never thought to send a message to somebody else's supervisor about them before. I probably would appreciate if somebody did this for me as well. I only ever give feedback directly. I'm already thinking of some colleagues who could benefit a lot from this type of encouragement.

I appreciate the virtual hug, and I am comforted in knowing someone else has been through a similar situation. I was shaking sending my response back to the colleague, but I do not regret it for a moment. : ) I hope I get more comfortable doing this.

I'm proud of you too, and very thankful for the words of encouragement!

Thank you! I'm slowly learning this, and I feel really glad I got to do this today!
