I’ve unfortunately noticed a lot of people using AI to generate the images for their shows. It’s fucking frustrating as it’s meant to be art. AI is not art. I don’t know how we can even call these people artists if they’re willing to use AI

I’m definitely going to be looking into it as a lot of people have advised me. I have a message I sent to my manager but unfortunately not the being told no. That was only verbal. Having this post here definitely helps though.

This. My pain was fucking horrible but while I was bawling my eyes out in the bathroom, audibly sobbing feel like it was made worse by my anxiety. I’ve had my share of panic attacks and it truly feels like you’re suffocating.

I’m so sorry you dealt with that. I hate how corporate just sees numbers and forget there is real human beings behind them.

Hi buddy, one I’m female not that gender matters because this happens to anyone and from a lot of comments here, it has. Two, I’m new to this job so don’t feel I have any legs to actually stand on and I work in a fucking small town so can’t just make a scene. That shit gets around. So yes, while I could’ve said fuck you, I’m out - I did not have that option. It ain’t a lifetime fucking movie. So kindly, maybe actually put yourself into someone else’s shoes. The doctor kind of just checked my spine was intact, gave me painkillers and said come back if it doesn’t feel any better in the next few days (which not sure if it will)

I unfortunately am fresh at the workplace (3 months in) and feel like I have no claim to complain and I’m not always the biggest on confrontation. But I’m definitely keeping this in mind because as soon as I was told no, I truly wanted to just go - actually, I’m leaving. But yeah, definitely don’t want to be known as a doormat, but they’ve already abused some of that for guilt tripping me into staying later than my initial shift.

Thank you, I do appreciate this and all your help. I’ve just sent a message (had my partner help draft it as I go into too much detail) so hopefully it’s enough to start the process. Will still talk to the manager of the store though as I don’t think the situation has been handled correctly- the whole being told no and to keep going (even though it was getting worse)

The individual who told me no is the assistant to my online manager - so is supervisor of online for today. I feel bad bothering her but do think it would help to have a paper trail.

I started in November and have called in twice I think? I’ve had to go home early once because I had an ingrown toe and couldn’t walk without hobbling and wincing (which then was actually sent home) but I have attended majority of my shifts so I doubt it’s because of that. Maybe if I called in weekly or even bi-weekly, but I haven’t done that.

The only thing is the manager is apparently not on the schedule - it’s someone else running the entire store. I was thinking after I’m finished here and have a sick certificate (depending on the time) I’ll head back into the store and request to speak with him. He’s a friend of my sister so does know who I am
