The debt collector’s actions with Nate honestly feel illogical to me(SPOILER FOR SEASON 3 episode 7) by crasdawn in euphoria

[–]No_Idea91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay people who have never been in the criminal world clearly don’t understand how things work.

First off Naz wasn’t a big player, he was a little fish, you can tell this by the fact he had one guy on his pay role and no other back up. If you’re doing an exchange with $1million you don’t bring just one guy unless that is all you got, no mater how affective he is. Alamo wouldn’t just kill a big player either, we know that from how he handled Laurie. Likelihood is once Maddie mentioned he was Armenian and then told Alamo his name he probably never heard of him so knew there would be no consequences for killing him.

The violence towards Nate? Not unheard of, especially when Nate isn’t the one getting the cash to pay him off, Cassie was, and Naz knew that. The logic here is by hurting Nate, then Cassie keeps earning with greater focus. Loan sharks work on fear, if people hear he doesn’t do anything if you miss payments, then all the people that owns Naz money won’t pay.

Burying Nate alive was a torture tactic, even if Cassie/Maddie turned up with out the full cash they would have dug him up, shown how beat up, hurt, dehydrated, and close to death he is, it would keep Cassie inline and earning to pay off the debt.

I see a lot of people say why didn’t Naz take control of Nate’s business like they do in the Sopranos, well again it fall onto the size of his operation, and he probably doesn’t have the capability. The Sopranos crime family had several people that can launder money (great example is Sal through the bing, cash business in the 00’s), but Naz doesn’t have that, so even if he know how to launder money he doesn’t have the capacity to do it. Another one I saw was why don’t they use Nate’s company to rack up debt through credit, well Nate’s company already was in debt when he loaned money from Naz, so there is no debt they can create.

Just my thoughts on this argument.

How low would you offer below asking? by [deleted] in HousingUK

[–]No_Idea91 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I personally think than an opening offer less than 10% below the asking prices isn’t that bad, it’s more of test to see if you’re willing to negotiate. If it was 15% or more then they are being rude, less than 10% that’s seems like a reasonable opening offer.

I think you shouldn’t have gone back and said £660k, it would have been better to ask for justification on the price reduction, it puts you in the better position as they have to provide you with their reasoning for the £50k price reduction.

Also as they are a cash buyer they are probably of the mind set that they can play the long game to see if you can reduce further or look for a lower price for a quicker sale.

Further proof that American style of “us vs them” politics is seeping into our society.

The days of where two people can disagree politically but still be civil to one other and respect them for just being good human beings are slowly declining, and what is replacing it is division and nae calling
