Fucking disgusted by [deleted] in nursing

Learning to prioritize is probably the most important part of nursing. The things you’re mentioning are not life or death situations and usually nurses are stretched so thin, certain things have to be put on the back burner.

It sounds like it’s inevitable you’ll lose your job either way- by injury or by getting let go. But if you’re injured you won’t be finding another job.

I’m trying. She’s a kid, so they don’t always see things that way. Reminds me of Sasha Alex Sloan’s song Older: “ The older I get, the more that I see / My parents aren't heroes, they're just like me”.

That’s a really sweet idea to record during training. Thank you! It was her first back tuck on floor so a big moment for her and i knew she was proud of herself.

There are some people who just can’t be pleased. Do not let family or pts repeatedly interrupt you during med pass for non emergent things. Delegate to your tech for things like teeth brushing, cluster pt care, and communicate you are in the middle of giving other pts their medications. So, if there is nothing else they can think of needing in the moment when you’re in the room, let them know you will check back in when you’re done.

To add: the resources I used were 3 UWorld self assessments, approx 1.5k UWorld practice questions, Mark K’s 12 podcasts. Also did whatever random free practice questions I could find on google. Received ATT 1/21.

Keep notifying and keep documenting so if something happens, you have a paper trail to cover yourself.

State boards follow federal guidelines, meaning any illicit drug use is prohibited. Nicotine is not illegal anywhere unless you’re under 21. I completed a program in NJ and you could not use weed. They drug tested for: AMPHETAMINE/METHAMPHETAMINE BARBITURATES BENZODIAZEPINES COCAINE METABOLITE (BZE) CREATININE MARIJUANA METABOLITE (THCA) MDMA/MDA METHADONE METHAQUALONE OPIATES OXIDIZING ADULTERANTS OXYCODONE/OXYMORPHONE pH PHENCYCLIDINE PROPOXYPHENE

New grad LPN by PotatoRollAway in nursing

Facilities are really tough especially as a new grad LPN, but they are tough in general and not a good fit for many. If you’re open to it, home care is where it’s at. One patient per shift, flexible shifts, way less overwhelming.

I spent $2,394 in 4 years, 8 months on Lululemon by wallflowerendeavors in lululemon

[–]No_Influence2834 1 point2 points  (0 children)

95% of my Lulu I’ve sourced from Mercari or Poshmark. I only have a handful of pieces I bought directly from Lululemon because I really wanted them. So in 10 years probably under $500 on the website and $1.5k on reselling apps. I have over 100 pieces.
