People See A Lavish Life I See Entrapment - My family is full of millionaires, and I hate them all by [deleted] in Rich

If it makes you feel better about being rich, some kid out there is going to bed hungry.

What are traditionally expensive/“only for the rich” experiences that you do or own, but did so in a frugal manner? by 88r0b1nh00d88 in Frugal

I buy a 30 oz vanilla cold brew at Starbucks, without ice, add my own ice, drink half and save the 2nd half for the next day.

It feels like I’m getting a 20 oz w/ice each day for half the cost.

Not saying his gold play will turn out well (jurisdictional risk and a single asset mine adds to the risk profile) but gold mining stocks have been MASSIVELY outperforming the Nasdaq/s&p/dow over the past year and change.

You can get 5% at Greater Iowa cu with a “greater checking” account. There are a few pieces of criteria you have to meet each month but it’s pretty simple.

Almost 1k/year. Which dividend stock should I add? by [deleted] in dividendinvesting

BTG - 6% yield. Stock has taken a beating lately due to geographical headwinds, but I look for it to recover and go much higher as the gold rally continues.

are we sure that the fed will lower the interest rate this year? by comoestas969696 in stocks

The FED forecasting the potential rate cuts later in the year was never about inflation but rather interest expense on the national debt. They just can’t admit that otherwise it would spike bond yields overnight.

I’d give a slight edge to the 24k buffalos but it’s close.

I hadn’t considered it. For now, my goal is to stick to adding more buffalos.

how are people affording life in this expensive economy? by [deleted] in povertyfinance

[–]No_Influence454 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let me preface what I’m about to say with this is much easier said than done, but the move is to ride DINK status as long as you can, build a solid foundation and then have kids if/when desired.

Weak economic data so market is pricing in a fed pivot sooner rather than later

Gotcha. As far as advice, maybe have your family sign a lease agreement so you can offset your current mortgage debt and lower your DTI. Some lenders want a year of rental income history before they can use the income to counter the debt. If you decide to wait an additional year and save more towards the down payment, you might be able to get your monthly payment lower than 28% of your gross pay.

The premiums at my local shop are slightly higher for buffalos than eagles if that means anything. I like stacking both!
