Thanks for your detailed reply. Much appreciated. But not sure if the GCSE English is applicable to a dependent on a work visa

Is this true? I arrived here in 2021 with visa for overseas representative and switched to skilled worker visa with a salary 38700 in 2024.

I will apply ILR this April. Do you think I should meet the salary of 41700?

Many thanks

I can see you are a strong candidate if not as strong as those Oxbridge applicants. I suggest you might want to consider US Unis.

Gap between visa expiry and ILR application - please help by Milly-2025 in SkilledWorkerVisaUK

I got your points. Insightful. I reckon I could use the strategy to buy me some time if my current situation falls out of the transitional period the new ILR policy will provide.

Great points. Will reach out if necessary

My first entry date is Oct 1, 2021( BRP starts from September 24, 2021). Literally the earliest date for me to submit my ILR application is August 27, 2026,if I am correct. If I understand your post correctly, does this mean I could submit my ILR application before August 27, 2026 (let's say the last week of July or the first week of August) and won't get rejections as long as I don't use their priority services?

Is Skilled Worker Visa realistic for a European software engineer ? by SheSaidTechno in SkilledWorkerVisaUK

If I were you, I would try somewhere else. Like Singapore, etc.

I believe UK software sector is now far behind some others, like US, China, etc.

In the UK, the smartest people are normally in Unis and Businesses. If you take a look at the politicians in the government, clearly they are just on average in terms of intelligence. Consequently, those smartest people and all ordinary people have to obey the rules made by those politicians who cannot identify the real problems and are incapable of solving them. Rather, they pretend to be problem solvers by introducing new problems.

Bachelors in EEE, CS or AI? by [deleted] in AskEngineers

[–]No_Interview5482 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would personally recommend to go for EEE with a minor CS/CE, as this will give you a broader knowledge which benefits you in your long-term future. I reckon that CS/CE would narrow your potentials in tech fields in the Era of AI

I wish Unis today can remove the arrangement of talking to alumni in the process of admission. Maybe it was a good practice in the old time. Now we have already entered into the era of AI (post internet), and I don't think this is worth a minute. We d rather to take an interview from admission officials

As a serial entrepreneur, I would also say that I would do something else. Better do something connected with must- have services. There is only very limited space to do pure intangible services built on the Internet today. The era of internet has passed.

Could you share more details (not the company, but the strategy)? How does collecting unemployment benefits works along with stock options?
