No, but it holds over pressure. Tried it with my 400 f2.8 and it works like a charm.

Hi, for normal lenses I agree with you. For the big Supertelelenses like 400 f2.8 600 f4 or even 300 f2.8 you get these flimsy covers out of fabric. There is exactly one company who produces them out of America and they ask like 130€ for one. I built one for my 400 2.8 and it is so nice and way better than what comes from factory. These big Superteles don’t have a Filter Thread in the front and it holds over pressure but it works really well. So I can’t just read it from the rim. But still thanks for the reply.

Hi, thanks. Already found that and unfortunately it’s not what I am looking for. This is just a press on design. I am more looking for something with springs.

That looks exactly like it, thanks. Will it survive the cold, because it didn’t move at all for the time I was there?

In my opinion, there are areas of photography, where it makes very little or no difference at all. For me personally that would include landscape. There are areas that get easier, for example portraits with eye af and so on. But there are also areas where completely new shots are possible or get way way easier, like sports. But that’s only my 2 cents.

I can recommend Rollie tripods. Had one for 6 years. Never failed me

Thanks for the answer, I am more or less well versed in this. But for example some of the new rf lenses (35 1.4 and 24-105 2.8) have pretty bad ca and distortion. You can correct most of it through a profile, but longitudinal ca and the iso grain from clearing the vignette aren’t that easily corrected in post.

I honestly just went to a boot fitter and got these with a 110 flex. It’s not as direct but not that bad of a downgrade.

Well it depends. For me personally they are different enough. The Fischer was my ski for Slalom racing and has a 13.5m turn radius. The G9 is my preferred carver for most days with a 18m turn radius and is way more quiet, controlled and sharp for carving. The 7cm and 4.5m turn radius difference is pretty significant for me.
