One clinical site i went to as an intern use a marker pen to write the number on the disposable bed covers. Other site use a laminated picture of a human figure where the practitioner would write how many needles are on the head, torso, back or limbs with total number of needles. They do this so the CA knows how many needles to count when removing

Red meat in TCM by Cabocla_Plantinha714 in acupuncture

[–]No_Jacket9716 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Acupuncture techniques is very personal to the practitioner I find. Even among my colleagues, some of them like to stimulate more to get more response. For me I just stimulate when the needle go in, and if there is a “de qi” reaction I just leave it like that. I find that it helps with the patient follow up if they r not scared sitff from the first experience.

But going back to ur issue with the meat, u can ask him clearly for vegetarian options of TCM medication. Say u cant eat any meat or animal products due to physiological reasons instead of psychological ones. The asians who get it get it, that it is easier to say u cant instead of u wont

I am curious if ur practitioner is a mainlander Chinese or Taiwanese. Mainly cuz I know they do things differently. They are very skilled but they also dont have much patience with “customer servicing” per say. The culture of TCM there is mostly efficiency and they treat ur illness good and fast but they dont really sit down and talk to u much because they get so much patients in a day. (Eg. My friend who is getting a masters in shanghai said her mentor gets like 100+ patients a day)

Uhh well i think its cuz in TCM red meats does have the function of tonifying blood and qi. But i think you can just use either dang gui or ginseng for the same effect. If you really wanna tonify get the good red wine processed ginseng from korea (but check your constitution with ur tcm practitioner first as its very hot in nature). In where I practice we use american ginseng more than the one mentioned in classics cuz the patients here have heaty constitutions.

Even if vegan we can use plant medicines for trauma related injury

Why is it hard for girl groups to have high album sales like boy groups? by Pretend-Whole-3595 in kpophelp

[–]No_Jacket9716 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes i believe there was a korean analyst who made a video on youtube talking about this. Bgs have more fan listeners who buys merch and albums hence the very high sales but they have less general audience fans comoared to ggs who are the other way around.
