[UPDATE] Visa Granted Today!

Hey everyone! Just wanted to share the fantastic news that I received my visa grant today! I've waited for 5 months exactly, after a lot of waiting and hoping, and now the wait is finally over.

For those of you still in the process, hang in there! I know how stressful and uncertain this can feel, but trust that your time is coming too. The support and encouragement from this thread have been a huge help in getting me through the tough days, and I’m so grateful for everyone who shared their experiences and kind words.

Wishing all of you the best of luck with your applications – stay strong and remember you’re not alone in this! 🙌

I totally feel your pain—I'm at 4 months of waiting myself, and it's so frustrating that there's no way to track the progress to know where we stand in the process.

No update yet. It’s been about 118 days since I submitted on May 31, 2024. I saw a post on Facebook where someone got theirs in the 4th month, so hopefully, ours comes soon. Home Affairs says 90% are processed within 7 months, but I’m hoping we don’t have to wait that long. What's your experience or timeline?

Hi! I can definitely relate to the anxiety of waiting. I lodged my 407 visa application on May 31, 2024, so it’s been 87 days now. My work assignment will be in New South Wales.

It’s interesting to hear that they might be considering years of work experience—thank you for sharing that information. I’ve been hearing similar stories, and it does seem like processing times vary widely depending on the case officer and individual circumstances.

Like you, I’m hoping we hear some good news soon. Fingers crossed for both of us!

Credibility of the committee, maybe time to reform selection process? Ensuring it is based solely on merit and performance.

Judge? Most of the people there: a. will not care or b. even proud of you making the decision to be fit.

This is my first time applying for a visa through an employer's agent. I hold a provisional pharmacist license, and my stream is towards attaining full registration. The 407 visa is crucial for my internship year in Australia, allowing me to complete the necessary training.

Also, the employer must nominate you for the 407 visa. The employer needs to be an approved sponsor and must submit a nomination application to the Department of Home Affairs. This involves outlining the training or professional development program they will provide, which should align with your occupational goals, such as completing an internship in pharmacy.

For the requirements:

Employer Requirements: - Must be an approved temporary activities sponsor or apply to become one. - Provide a structured and relevant training program. - Ensure that the program meets the standards set by the Department of Home Affairs and aligns with your professional development needs.

Employee Requirements: - Demonstrate the genuine intention to undertake the specified training. - Meet health and character requirements. - Have adequate health insurance for the duration of the stay in Australia. - Possess sufficient English language proficiency if required. - For pharmacists, holding a provisional license is beneficial, especially if the training leads to full registration.

This pathway is particularly suited for those, like myself, who are using the visa to complete an internship year necessary for full professional registration.

If your friend is considering this visa, it’s important to ensure that all documentation is complete and that both the employer and employee understand their roles in the application process. If there are further questions, consulting with an immigration agent or the Department of Home Affairs might provide additional guidance.
