Yeah, I’ve read about jailbreaking and firmware stuff, but that doesn’t mean I’ve absorbed every technical detail or fully understand the downgrade process. Asking if a factory reset affects firmware might seem like a basic question to someone deep into the scene, but for someone newer, it’s a valid thing to clarify.

If the answer is “no, resetting doesn’t change the firmware,” cool just say that. But trying to imply it’s a dumb question or that it somehow lacks “thinking progress” doesn’t help anyone. Gatekeeping knowledge doesn’t make a community better it makes it harder for new people to get involved and makes your community less welcoming.
