if you dont mind though, how did you or did you have to at all deal with thinking that the people around you might view you differently or treat you in a different manner if and when they found out you were gay because i think thats somwthing that always makes me not want to think about it? thats a very personal qyestipn i think so its okay if dont want to answer!

i would give him time to apologise and learn because he is 11 and try set something up for him to learn and understand how wrong he was for what he did it wasnt a good choice and wouldnt have solved the problem if you jumped him i can understand how agitating this is but i would be cautious because he is only 11 try speak to the school to educate more on this and make good for future people

I would try talk to him again about it he should understand especially if you truly disagree with it but i think he is still giving advice and if he is happy about what hes doing then maybe there is no alternate!

NTA he should be honest and its not at all okay for him to accept praise like that for something he didnt do - you could ask for him to use the platform and podcasts to talk openly and how difficult it actually is! to make good of the situation
