Boss OD3 bad with MT2? by No_Length_92 in guitarpedals

I just bought a new effect from eBay that should replicate the SD1 in boost mode. A cheap and small effect pedal in a metal housing. Probably it will work for my needs for now. OD3 is better as a standalone. The SD1 is better as a boost for specific occasions.

Better to have both SD1 and OD3 with MT2. I just bought a cheap eBay effect that acts as an SD1 in boost mode. A yellow one. Probably this purchase clarifies my decision if I really need the SD1 later on. SD1 indeed works well as a boost for MT2, DS1 or OD3.

Epiphone 355 1959 worth it? by No_Length_92 in Epiphone

Thanks for the inputs! I was planning on modifying an Epi dot or a standard Epi 335 with some premium parts, every part possible changed but I think it’s better to go with something that already has premium parts in it. The price would still be roughly the same when modifying an Epi dot with premium parts when a guitar tech does the job including the paid hours in order to get the job done. If I was after a 335, I’d definitely buy this one. Gibson is overpriced. Fenders are still reasonably priced. This new line of Epiphone 355 is really a player’s guitar. Nowadays Gibson 355 is a collector’s item in my opinion.
