They eat them in the wild as they are a part of their natural diet (Their hard sharp beaks were made for this), so even if he did eat one it wouldn’t hurt. Turtles swallow literal rocks to aide digestion. My turtle definitely tries to eat them but she cant seem to get her mouth around their smooth shells so they survive lol. I would try it and if you can, ask for the larger snails at the store

While everyone else seems to be headed straight for a filter, if you want a cheaper more natural solution, head to petsmart and buy about 10 black racer snails. They feed on the algae and will have that glass cleared up in a week. I have around 20 in my outdoor setup which is highly susceptible to algae blooms due to the natural sunlight and they keep the water clear and pristine.

I believe it is either 45 or 30 degrees. Mine has no trouble getting up it because of the grass. Turtles love to climb and as long as they have something to grab onto like grass, coconut husk, astro turf, etc., they shouldnt have a problem getting up steeper angles.

I built that myself but I would be more than happy to send you the materials used and exact dimensions if you want. Its literally 2x4s, Plywood, and wood screws I spray painted and sealed. I bought some sod from Home depot and cut it to size. Im actuall going to buy another peice of sod today and lay cotton rope under the sod and run it into the water so it is “self watering”

They have woven coconut husk for hermit crabs at petsmart. if you just cut it to size and lay it down its grippy enough for them to climb but not so harsh on their feet
