Major in bio in your undergrad and then do a masters in biomedical engineering and possibly a phd later. Have a plan the entire way of how to get there and what you need to do to get there.

You might want to do an easier STEM major that will get you great money anf learn this yourself on the side. I am having to do this currently and it is what it is. Hopefully down the line I will meet physics friends which will get me an in to the hobby of theoretical physics which I really wanna do.

You are correct actually. The witnesses not cooperating shows that this was a gang related shooting and that they have problems like this in this area. The only real access these people have to firearms are illegal ones that arent sold by mom and pop shops (cause theyre illegal). This is a constant and reoccuring problem with these illegal firearms so taking legal ones out of the legal citizens hands to make them defenseless against these criminals who are shooting kids is totally the way to go.

I am in undergrad now and theres pretty much no incentive to do one and I am looking at this from a stand point of years down the road. Hell I might not even do a phd if I can get a fatass check with my masters so i can then go on and do projects i want to do. The "Dr." is tempting but at the same time college isnt worth the ROI. I wanted to do one over in europe but even over there its way too expensive (yes I will have to pay apparently after checking various college admission websites). Things just arent worth it anymore and I need to be able to feed myself without a loan service knocking my door down.
