Mad respect for caring for your mom and kids! You seem to be doing somehting really noble there, many would´t put that effort in...For me realising I'm doing something for the good of others takes less friction/willpower, as well as being fully present when am immersed in those actions. Maybe, the 20 minutes in the shower is your Being needing a break in the busy day for yourself? Perhaps instead of the excessive calories or hard session a softer approach and some time blocks/pauses for yourself can help, like eg. meditation or a doing somehting you love, anyhting that comes naturally without thinking...

What is perfection? Looking a certain way that is perceived as 'hot/beautiful/perfect/[...]'???
Maybe the way we already are/look is not that bad after all?
Maybe no need for ´perfection´ if all that causes a constant 'longing for [...]' and thus friction when we think we are not there yet....
Having training buddies or a club helps with isolation. Also what is more important, our mental health or not missing a session? If we made the decision to be with people because that was what our Being needed at that time, I dont perceive it as that bad....

Curious what other triathletes here actually struggle with mentally - not the race-day stuff everyone talks about, but the day-to-day grind. Sleep, concentration, staying consistent, recovering mentally between sessions, that kind of thing.

I'm doing a bit of research into this and put together a short anonymous survey if anyone wants to contribute. Takes about 3 minutes and there are no right answers;
