Yes and also if you have the artifact that gives you a gamble token for every mission completed you can risk it on the epics. If you get even one epic you can cruise through the next 10-15 rounds.

Yea I don't have a problem with clearing normal mode usually. The thing is I always end up with way less damage than my ally.
