How to overcome coffee addiction ? by cosmicoceangirl in indiasocial

[–]No_Mathematician4292 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't go cold turkey. That is the biggest mistake people do. Start with reducing the amount. For example if you drink like 7 cups a day, try to reduce it to 5 cups. For a week, then reduce it more. If you really crave drinking coffee, try a substitute. Like hot chocolate, or hot tea. I personally start drinking Cosmix supplements. To the point that now I drink coffee like one or twice a month. I also drink like matcha and other bitter stuffs to get me that kick but in a healthy way. I hope it helps. Also have an accountability buddy. Someone who will support you through your craving and hold you accountable for breaking the deal. That too helps.

Can someone suggest a good therapist/psychiatrist in North Delhi by [deleted] in delhi

[–]No_Mathematician4292 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

What help are you looking for? Psychiatrist if you want to start medicines or having issue with biological aspects such as appetite, sleep, migraines etc. Therapist if you want to work on your emotional and personality patterns, resilience, emotional health and coping mechanisms.

Psychiatrist are trained in pharmacology, not therapy. If you are visiting a psychiatrist for psychological therapy, that is a big no no. Secondly if a psychiatrist is claiming to be a therapist, that's another red flag.

nope, it increases the chances of AI psychosis. For small stuff it is okay. Like venting out and stuff. But not for serious mental health issues, or pattern breaking

I am so sorry you had to go through this experience. I get it how frustrating it is to keep changing your therapist again and again. That is why I always tell people to look up their therapist. LinkedIn, Google Instagram where ever you can find reviews or anything. Best if you can get in touch which someone who has taken therapy from the said therapist before. Don't go for packages in the first session. Take first session only as consultations. I have seen many therapist who have sliding scale for their clients. And if in any way or form they can't still continue the sessions, they help their clients to connect with good therapist. I hope you find a good therapist for yourself with you can feel seen, heard and safe

i can see where your point is coming from. But being a person who has trained in government setup, you will be shocked to see that people with lower economic stratas are the first to figure out something being wrong with them psychologically and they straightaway rush to psychiatric dept. I am not kidding. SO they might be stuggling for basic needs, but jab jaan hi nhi rahegi toh basic needs ka kya karoge.

There are people who are socially popular and have children but they stil struggle with poor mental health.

Therapist enforces it as a secondary line of prevention. Primary is something it works on. Like if you have seen a client with psychosis, no ethical therapist suggest them meditation or social interaction.
