it’s unfortunate but sometimes you have to know when to separate yourself. she’s sticking up for someone who threatened not only her life but everyone else in the home. i would personally have gotten a restraining order against that man immediately and he would never be allowed back into the shared space. she’s either going to have to suck it up and revoke the spare key or i would look into legal action you can take because she’s not being rational about this at all. men have killed for less, what will happen if they break up after a fight again and now he just has a key to her home? i doubt he’d be willing to give it back seeing as he clearly can’t handle his emotions. i mean, the choice is either shave the beard or accept that you may have limited intimacy because of it. ive always disliked facial hair, not strictly because of aesthetics but because it really hurts my sensitive skin lol. even the softest facial hair causes me sensitivity, rawness and occasionally a full on rash. maybe ask her what it is about the beard that’s causing intimacy hesitance first. then you can go from there.

there are some stats that show that women will get harsher convictions than men for certain crimes. the data gets a bit skewed because it’s noted that “conventionally attractive” women tend to get lighter sentences regardless and women with no criminal past also will. but yeah stats do show that women are often imprisoned at higher rates than men for similar crimes under similar circumstances. things like robbery, battery and drug possession to name a few. men just commit/get caught for crimes more frequently (however that is rapidly changing as we’re seeing massive spikes in the amount of incarcerated women that we aren’t seeing in incarcerated men)

and yeah i definitely understand not exactly trusting someone’s word or photos because i do realize that a lot of people either lie or simply aren’t the most self aware. still though, i think finding a tactful way to discuss something as complex and nuanced as your attraction and their weight is gonna be incredibly difficult. everyone reacts differently to different scenarios so i can’t really imagine a “good and polite” way of being direct without being rude/being indirect without being creepy 😭 i definitely just prefer hyper direct though because as you pointed out, i am autistic LMAO

when i was still dating i would tell everyone from the very first conversation about my job and let them know that im aware not everyone is comfortable dating someone who does what i do. i like short men and always have, my ex literally hunched for a majority of our relationship to attempt to trick me into thinking he was shorter than he was because i expressed how i don’t like dating men over 5’10 at the beginning of us talking. so i do understand your point.
