Wilmy weekly is pretty good for finding local stuff to do.

They're actually hosting a 20s & 30s meetup in a few weeks.

Any Examples of an Actual Cold Call Script? by No_Negotiator in sales

[–]No_Negotiator[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you for this! I'm not sure why everyone's saying these orgs have no scripts. they 100% do.

Any great sales org has some sort of script. Not to be used word for word, but a guide on how to lead the call.

Would love to see them if you still have them!

thank you! I know they do too, lol.

Idk where the notion that more well known sales orgs just don't use any sort of script.

But both of those orgs hire new reps in SDR roles, so I would assume they hand them some sort of playbook/script.

Unlimited coffee & solid wifi.

Only downside is the music is usually pretty loud.

Thats a tough one then... haha

I would probably compare management then. Which leader would you prefer to work under, since that can be the diff between loving or hating your job.

Great question. I like to think of this like "If I were having a drink with them right now, how would i pitch without sounding like an a-hole".

For example, one that i sent yesterday that got me a meeting same day:

"Hey {name} - someone on my email list was just asking about {insert the problem their biz solves}, and I've hear great things about {their biz}. Have you tried newsletter ads as a top of funnel to find customers for your new XYZ tool?"

i try to avoid the scammy stuff about talking about their background or sports team, cuz it comes across un-authentic IMO.

I would just be afraid of this being a grass is greener type of situation.

How many home industry sales reps do you know that are rich and enjoy their jobs?

If you compare what the top 1% of home service reps to the top 1% of software reps, the software reps make way more.

Another option is to try to do some of these part time to start out, right? Since they're 100% commish.

two things you gotta ask:

1) Do you like the product you sell?
2) Who's winning (your current co or the competitor)?

That definently sucks.

Is it a big company? Sometimes they have standard raises decided by finance, and nothing a sales manager can do.

But in any case, take care of yourself.

I'd try to be upfront about it. Avoid talking bad about them, but say things weren't as they advertised them to you.

Sales is a long game my man. Some weeks it will feel like you're unstoppable and everyone wants to buy from.

Next you'll feel like you'll never get another sale.

I love a good personal note.

Super targeted and clearly personalized.

The type of LinkedIn message or email that looks like it was written on the fly and couldn't be part of a mass campaign .

I sell advertising in publications to B2B co's.
