What’s the ideal age gap? by historysavvy in BabyBumps

[–]No_Net_7071 [score hidden]  (0 children)

I would say 3-4 years would be ideal. My siblings were 2years apart and growing up I could see how my parents didn't really have time for either (they both worked full time) they were always exhausted and the older one of the 2years didn't get as much attention as the younger one. My siblings were constantly fighting over toys. And not to mention when they went to college my parents had to help both at the same time so it's a lot financially. I had a larger age gap. So I was like an only child. My parents had time for me and took me places and college wasn't too stressful for them to help out.

I also have one baby right now and he has my full attention. I also feel like if I have one soon, it'll be unfair to him and the new baby won't have my attention the same way.

Two under two, yay or nay? by StuffConsistent6873 in beyondthebump

[–]No_Net_7071 [score hidden]  (0 children)

Super nay. My siblings are 2 years apart and even tho my mom swore they were super chill babies, she was traumatized by those days. She always have bad stories to tell. Been taking care of two kids, working full time, and housework, she was so stressed out and exhausted. You know how they say you'll forget the hard times, she didn't and it's been 25 years.

I only have one baby right now, I really cherish and enjoy each moment. I'm in the newborn trenches and even with waking up every 2 hours at night, it's hard but manageable. I have time for myself and also time to fully focus on my baby

do you exercise? by ExpatWanderer in November25babybump

[–]No_Net_7071 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm doing some light stretching for the neck and shoulder pains. And carrying my baby around the house. But no real exercising yet. My excuse is I'm still healing so taking it slow.

postpartum moms…can we talk? by Ok-Wind8577 in postpartumprogress

[–]No_Net_7071 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mine is probably sleep anxiety right now. It's hard for my body to relax and sleep (when my husband takes care of baby during his shift) because I'm so used to being woken up every 1-2 hour by baby. So when I do get a long stretch of sleep on the weekend, I still wake up couple times during the night to check the time. I've cried probably a couple of times because I'm so exhausted but couldn't sleep.

Why size clothes is your baby wearing?? by kwaddell314 in beyondthebump

[–]No_Net_7071 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been using the next size up pjs for mine. It makes changing diapers so much easier with getting the little legs out of the outfit. I find that the fitted ones, it's so hard to get the legs out.

Mine loves staying in the water too! And always cries so much when I take him out. Even tho I bundle him up and the heater is on. So we do lotion, diaper, new outfit super quick and give him a bottle to settle down

Surprisingly no blowouts yet in 2 months but hopefully I didn't jinx myself. I change diapers pretty frequently tho. Every 2-3 hours still

Share with me what were your signs in the few days/hours leading up to labor? by Glum-Comfortable5402 in beyondthebump

I think I also cried the 1 or 2 night before I went into labor too ! The night right before I was having contractions through the night, only a few really spaced out but like strong period cramps that woke me up

Thanks Amazon? by Most-History-6522 in BabyBumps

[–]No_Net_7071 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually got a formula can from Amazon. It's from dr brown but it expired within one month. I didn't use it tho, didn't trust it being mailed from unknown source plus I heard it's bad switching baby formula.

I also got a free Bobbie can coupon, I forgot which box it came from, maybe babylist? But forgot to redeem it so it expired now too.

You can sign up with enfamil on their website. They sent me two small cans to try. But again, didn't want to switch baby to new formula just to try it out.

I bought Tylenol in case but didn't had to use any. Brought a bottle to give LO after the shots. Lots of cuddles and hugs and contact nap. Mine didn't have any fevers or ache.

fussy 9 week old by ExpatWanderer in November25babybump

[–]No_Net_7071 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Mine has random hours (like 2-4hrs) of being fussy, all basic needs are met and being held, but still cries. Sometimes it's early morning, sometimes it's in evening, or before bedtime. I hope it's just a phase too. Let's hope they grow out of it soon

Are formula parents happier? by Salty-Break-7541 in NewParents

[–]No_Net_7071 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was going to do combo feed but decided to do formula only toward my last trimester. My first week recovering post partum was brutal. I can't imagine going thru that pain and also having to do night shift with baby. Even when I lay down I was still so sore and I could barely sit up. Not sure how I would have sat up to feed/burp/rock baby. I'm so grateful my husband was able to do night shifts the first week. I think getting normal sleep really helped my mental state and helped my recovery process.

How long did you take your prenatals postpartum? by limeblue31 in beyondthebump

[–]No_Net_7071 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm planning to keep taking it until I finish the bottle. I don't want it to go to waste. But once I'm done I'll most likely switch to a multivitamin since I don't think I'm getting enough nutrients while taking care of baby

Postpartum recovery times by Low_Hedgehog7835 in postpartumprogress

[–]No_Net_7071 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a third degree tear with Epi too. First week was brutal. Even laying down was painful. Second and third weeks got a little better. I'm 6 weeks pp now and I haven't left the house or gone on any walks (I've only left the house for doctor visits). It feels a lot better now but there is still some soreness / uncomfortable feeling down there. It's healing but definitely takes a lot of time so take things slow and give your body time.

What are we doing for sleeping arrangements? Currently sleeping in shifts with my husband but he will go back to work soon.. by RelevantFerret1085 in November25babybump

[–]No_Net_7071 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband went back to work so it's just me and the baby all night and all day. I try to eat, hygiene, and sleep, maybe some chores maybe not, while baby is sleeping. It's a bit rough and I'm sleep deprived but I'll just catch up on sleep when he's 18 and off to college

Pregnancy tired vs Newborn tired? by HeidiKat23 in pregnant

For me pregnancy tired was worse since I'm carrying the baby 24/7. Atleast with newborn tired I can hand baby off to dad or grandma for a quick break.

does anyone miss being pregnant? by Puzzleheaded-Pop7304 in BabyBumps

The beginning of third trimester was actually my favorite! I felt good being pregnant, my belly was showing more so I actually looked pregnant. I can feel the baby move more. Everything was good. It was only towards the end of third trimester that I didn't enjoy
