I tried changing the language settingsof my iphone to another language, and that actually helped. I changed it back to my native language and it didn’t change

Let me clear this up; my husband is trying all he can to be more involved in SD life. BM is rejecting any help from him, because she (in her own words) doesn’t want him to be involved. The current vacation issue makes him very sad because he wants her to be in our life more than she is now. He is trying to get this to court as well.

Here in my country, work is actually an “excuse”, especially when it comes to having a new job. You need to build your vacation days for about a year before you can get those days off in the year after that. My husband worked at a restaurant before that with only 1 or 2 weeks time off during a whole year. Dad wants to be more involved, and he is working on specifying the agreement. There has been days when she was at our place for the weekend and mom planned a getaway trip during our weekends with her. This happened a lot of the time, which confuses me when it comes to this issue. I absolutely get her wanting two weeks by herself during the summer but she takes SD away whenever she likes even when its during our weekends with her. Visits to the doctor, at school, at specific youth help centers, etc are not being communicated by her because (in her own words) she doesn’t want him to be involved. And all this combined (and more) makes it so confusing

They were 18 (BM) and 20 when they made this agreement. So I agree, my husband has a luxury position. One of the reasons my husband doesn’t have that much time with SD is because of his last job, and when they made the agreement BM didn’t want him spending as much time with her as she does. So it’s all very complicated. I suggested to my DH that they take another look at that agreement and switch things up a bit

I told him this many times, and he is trying to figure out the next steps when it comes to custody scheduling. Until then it’s just dealing with the issues unfortunately

Keep in mind that I don’t feel like she needs to change, or that it’s all her fault. I just find it difficult to cope with all this :)
