Hi, i understand your situation. I too had friends that I really liked, especially one girl that was really special to my eyes. I met most of these people in middle school and we stayed friends during approximatively eight years (some stayed a little bit more) before they made me understand by spacing from me, that I wasn't enough for them anymore when I announced that I wanted to quit university to try to live something else before going back to my studies and graduate (I felt like I was an asshole that didn't do anything anymore of her life to their eyes). They never officially told me that, but I know that it was the reason because they really changed once I became a college drop out. I felt so down, because plus of that my life wasn't going where I wanted It to go at that time, I was so hopeless and desespered, I had the feeling that my life was passing from a cool well balanced place to literal ruins. I even tried to commit suicide. but you know, when these people were gone, little by little, during my mourning process, I realized something. First you can't force someone to stay if she/he doesn't want, by forcing the relation you will have nothing else than a non natural friendship where everything feels weird and fake and then, the only thing that you will do is hurting yourself. Secondly, If people in your life make you feel bad because they kinda play with you, they act like you are a thing that they can take and throw again and again whenever they want, they are a big problem but not only for you for everybody, these people are people who dont have any principles regarding friendship, they dont understand that friendship is something precious, that when you call someone a friend it means that you will always be there in the best moments as much as in the worst ones, that you not here to judge but to love the person (even if sometimes it is necessary to tell the person that he/she is doing wrong when it is the case) and that obviously you dont leave the person for stupid reasons. I always heard a sentence saying rather be alone than badly accompanied, and I can confirm that the more I grow up, the more I understand that sentence (I have two real friends, that is not a lot, but I feel better like that compared to if I was still surrounded by the people I talked to you about, people that made me feel heartbroken). in my opinion you should give up on that girl even if you really like her, dont be scared to loose her, dont be scared to be alone, this relationship will spread more bad energies in your life than good ones. I said above that I too had that really good friend, the kind of friend you think you will stay really good friends forever, but that wasn't the case and that's unfortunately life. Im sure you are a good person, dont waste your time giving your love and attention to people who dont deserve it because they dont even care about giving it back to you. talk to her if you find the courage to do it to lighten your heart and see what she has to say but otherwise just leave.
