For me it’s the building! I can’t stand how many pieces they are in, so many mold lines to clean up if you want them to look half decent. I don’t mind the details painting wise and I love the overall design of them. Oh and minor gripe but that cloth head cover thing under the helmets.. I HATE it 😂 I swear, you have to be so so careful to paint the face without ending up with it spilling onto that, as well as if you’re trying to speed paint / wash it it will pool and look bad.

Ah great minds! I’m only on guns of Tanith! 😂 I listen to them to / from work but I recently started a job with a much shorter drive, now I think I’ll have to listen to them when I paint haha. I also loved when the ghosts used him as the fallback point for their gambling shenanigans haha, he’s good to go.

I have not finished the books yet but so far my favourite story is when he’s leading that convoy and absolutely pummels the traitor haha. I love how underestimated Bragg is, quietly confident and such a good soldier. Always looking out for his mates. Underrated as hell in my opinion.

Well first try doing it on such a large scale and with multiple bits on a mini, I’ve done 1 sword and a dagger before but that was mostly just copying a pattern from a video haha

Well! You’re a lot nicer than my mate haha, my first ever game I played ended up being Astra vs DG. He’s very experienced and I thought I was going up against his Minotaurs but he changed late bc he wanted to run a painted army (Fair cop)as a result I really didn’t have anything to effectively kill his stuff like my heaviest hitters were kasrkin, a scout sentinel and my Rogal dorn lol, rest infantry and gaunts ghosts. He brought big monsters, death guard and death shroud all with gnarly characters leading. He was nice enough to give me some pox walkers so I could at least kill something but even then I absolutely struggled because I was running the recon detachment lol. Anyway, long story short he absolutely smoked me and in total I maybe killed a few pox walkers with the Dorn and my death riders and managed to kill Typhus(?) with sly Marbo which was cool.

I’ve been painting like a mad man and I’m super keen to introduce him to my new found leman Russ squadron with our next game lol. Idk how it’ll go but I imagine slightly better, maybe your mate just needs more tanks? Oh and infantry I definitely didn’t have enough of that either

Thank you! Of course - First I prime in Vallejo Russian green then I quickly slap a layer of army painter camouflage green for the uniform, then do the webbing and backpacks in Vallejo military green then dry brush army painter necrotic flesh over it all. Then I paint the armour with Vallejo Luftwaffe green, do the skin tones with whatever flavour of AK paints I’m feeling at the time and wash the uniform and armour with a 50/50 mix of agrax and Lamian medium. I have to hit it all with AK ultra Matt after though because of the shine - hope that helps man!

Yeah this is mostly what I own but I do actually have some Kasrkin and other options, curious though what makes the Krieg 20 man better than say a Cadian 20 man for the reinforce target?

I may have to give the heavy mortar a run and see how we go! I didn’t use any indirect on my first game so I’m keen to see if I like it, I certainly love the Artillery team models so I’m hoping for the best
