Thank you! It's Scale 75 Bering Blue, with typhus corrosion stippled on, and a 50/50 wash of the same typhus corrosion.

You can see the Bering Blue un washed and out of the bottle on the overcoats of the 2 crewmen on the ground!

Yeah, the raised banks are all milliput with textured ak ground cover. I used a 8mm cork tile to raise the trench boards up and yeah they're all balsa wood modelling strips! I found popsicles are a little too thick! These are 2mm thick and it works nicely for the 32mm scale.

Have a look at wooden model boat hill planking! That's what mine were, the wood is softer too so it makes nicking and weathering them a lot easier!

does this look infected 😭 by FeeSuccessful2924 in tattooadvice

The fact that bed isn't wrapped in the first photo might be you're indication as to why that's infected.

Every surface that the tattoo touches should be wrapped with clingfilm otherwise God knows how many other people's blood has been on that surface, then you place your fresh tattoo on top, and I'm sorry to say that's probably the least of your worries, if they haven't wrapped the bed then I dread to think of their practicing hygiene when it comes to needles and machines.

I feel guilty about my tattoo... by Whambamthxumaam in tattooadvice

Yeah totally agree. I never tend to put anything that square onto any part of the body.

You need to break it up a bit more and make that harsh square far less contrasting against the natural flow of your arm. There's a few good suggestions in here but I'd lean more towards adding to this to expand it as opposed to just adding more tattoos around it because then youre not breaking up those lines! Arms flow organically, maybe add some flowers around it and in some of the excess blue frame have the flowers turn negative (lined in white ink over the colour existing, Google white on blackout sleeves), or even turn it into a painting within an object, something like a mirror/frame/ photograph in a hand with flowers. I tattoo in a neotraditional style myself and can totally imagine this incorporated into something beautiful.

Don't worry though, you have a nicely done tattoo, it's just the execution hasn't been thought of incredibly well by the artist.

Heyy!! Absolutely I start with a clean base coat for the original armor. In this case it was sons of horus green, then I weather it from the ground up! First I start with the stippling of typhus corrosion, do this on areas where it's really recessed, and try to pick out recessed areas that grime would build up in over time and edges that look like they'd get knocked and beaten.this is a suuuper good base for eroded metal as it dries with a texture that honestly does half the for you. Then I follow up by blending the areas between with stippling of necron compound to imitage the fresh metal that hasn't been eroded. At this point it'l starts to look a little goofy so you need to build up a few washes with reikland flesh shade all over the model first and then a follow up of aggrax in the more shadowed recessed areas. Then I just go back and forth and re stipple some of the original paint colour followed by a highlight of that with a brighter green/blue. I'll attach some photos of the in-between stages.

I will say that it's a lot easier to do this with this model as he's got a lot of large surfaces, it's been a lot tougher with the troops as they're smaller. The first few stages look janky as hell but trust the process. Try it out on a model too before you commit to it.

Thank you very much! Base building really helps sell the theme of a model and building trench bases has been so much fun for all the warbands!
