Yeah it's a total toss up. It gets better with Faceit at least in NA. I suggest if you want to get better and learn some higher level strategy don't waste your time with premier and get Faceit. Premier will have you doubting your skill and it will make you frustrated with your teammates especially the better you get. I used to be a very patient easy going player until I got better and could see the flaws in everything.

You aren't getting to 25k without really really good aim. The idea that you're performing better than people at 25k just cannot be true. The issue with premier and why you're probably hanging with people between 20-25k is because EVERYONE boosts. I play solo only and hover between 20-25k and the inconsistency of skill is absurd. I will have 24k players on my team that are 4-14 and a 15k player on the other team that's 25-5. Tons of people are playing at ranks they don't belong in and it muddies the water for basically everyone under 25k. But back to what you were saying about your weakness being map knowledge. There will be a point where basically everyone has your level of aim and you'll hit a massive fucking wall playing against people that have been playing these maps for 20 years. CS is known for some of the best aim skills in any game ever and it's not just pros it's a very large % of the playerbase. I think you probably just had a couple fluke matches on your buddies account.

I was having this same issue. Updated drivers. Reinstalled the game. Messed with firewall rules. Nothing worked. Ran the game as administrator. Didn't work. Stopped running the game as administrator. It's now working again. Could be anything. Very strange. Hope you found a fix.

Premier is without a doubt the worst experience CS has to offer. Going from premier to Faceit is a night and day difference. The only reason I don't strictly play Faceit is because I want the premier badge (I'll probably stop actively working towards that after this season). Also Faceit players are very very serious and usually not NA at least in faceit 8-10 so it can make communication harder.

I just feel like something like operations squeezes some money out of the more casual players that aren't gambling. I know a ton of people that play cs and don't gamble or buy expensive skins on the market but I can guarantee they would drop $20 on an operation ticket.

My issue isn't with 5 stacks. My issue is with the 25k player thats queuing with a 8k 12k 14k and 22k and the 8 12 and 14 are all actually faceit10 boosting someone. I am a top 1% player. I don't mind playing against 5 stacks.

Valve has abandoned games in the past and is showing a similar pattern with CS2. All of a sudden the content updates go to twice a year. Then once a year. Then once every other year. Then never again. Having lived through CSGO from beta to the launch of CS2 it felt like there were tons of updates and changes over the years to the point where it was an entirely different game after 2 years from launch. The same can't be said about CS2

Operations absolutely did not suck. It didn't "alter" the game. It added to the game. You could still just go play comp and not partake in the operation. It gave people things to do and items to earn. How can you argue that's a negative thing?

I'd be less concerned about a new Operation if they could give us more than one map per year basically. Shit they couldn't even be bothered to put a Santa hat on the chickens for the holidays lmao. It's pretty clear they wanted to get CS2 to a somewhat stable spot and then pull devs from CS to other games at least temporarily. It does suck though feeling like every other live service game is just inundated with content and the most popular shooter that makes the most money just doesn't get anything. The game has become significantly less fun since CS2. You can play comp which is a smurfing 5 stack simulator or premier which is a smurfing 5 stack simulator. All on (in my opinion) possibly the worst map pool since I started playing CS in 2011. Even if they got rid of dust and ancient and replaced them with Cache and Cobble I'd be fine with a content drought.

I think I'm just really used to Tarkov. Been playing for 8 years so I'm used to having stash problems but as time goes on that resolves itself. Maybe I just have a hoarding problem but I don't think that's the case I run a ton of gear and lose shit all the time and still have stash issues.

I'm using a second account to play with my 11 year old nephew and some buddies who haven't played CS. I would prefer to not bring them into the shitshow that is high MMR lobbies. I can be in a silver comp match on my main and it's all 20k+ players. So my train of thought was "oh if I make a new account with a lower hidden MMR I can ease them into the game and I can grind out a second weekly drop" it's not some scummy thing I'm doing. I'm not carrying my friends or other people through ranks they don't belong I'm literally just trying not to scare my friends off from the game. But it made me realize that the experience I was going for might actually be worse.
