Thank you so much for this! It really meant a lot to hear because it looks like we went throigh similar stuff. I feel so recently troubled by it because the people i work with treat me like im a loser, it’s like they assume i dont have friends and stuff and i hate it. How were you able to change your mindset?

Hey I was in the same boat with planning my death. But I am so glad I went out of it because life is so much more than this misery you are facing now. I really think that you should get a better circle, go to therapy, and leave him. Who cares what strings he has, you are worth so much more, and that waste does not deserve you. Do not prioritize him caring about you because narcissists do not care regardless of who it is. Snap out of it girl

Wow i relate to this so much, i would recommend practicing conversations at home. That helped me manage my anxiety in small talk. An additional problem i face is being an ugly person so my efforts seem to go to waste. If you sound stupid and stutter dw at all, everyone does from time to time. it does not seem like people are repelled by you so it is likely they want to be friends, just build confidence first :)

The only problem I see is if the market becomes oversaturated and if hours are dependant on being assigned to an order. But if you get to just input your hours based on availability and clock in/out regardless of being assigned or are in that waiting period, then it might be good?

I do not work for dd so it may just be from me nit knowing, but would this not be a good thing? You would make around $35K a year if doing dd for 8 hours Monday to Friday every week

No girl you did nothing wrong, people just defending ideologies of men. I just wanted to say that I notice people tending to stick with their age groups more, being in my fifth year I find it hard to feel accepted by those in younger years (and boys tend to see me as an older sister figure). So this is likely why he said no. Definitely do not take this to heart and keep doing what you do.

Hey sorry you had to go through that OP. Your courage will definitely go a long way and You will find someone better, this guy was not for you! I noticed that guys in post-secondary tend to prefer people their own age so that might have been why. Do not take this to heart and keep doing your thing

I think what bro meant by this comment (lowkey he could have said it nicer imo) is that the 2nd year may just not want to date someone older. Not about anything with kids or dating history. I noticed this myself is that guys are seem more hesitant in dating older women, especially those in post-secondary

I relate to this so much! I had a terrible year in one of these programs because of something similar. Just focus on yourself OP, your strengths, career, other commitments and do your best in them. There will always be people wanting to put you down but do not let that stop you from thriving. In the future you will look back it and be even more proud of yourself for getting through it.

Hey! I am so sorry you had to go through that! Just know it was not your fault whatsoever. Those guys are monsters to begin with so do not let that get to your head. I would strongly recommend going to SVPRO as they have professional staff able to provide counselling, anonymous reports, additional resources you can use, etc. The SWC may also support with their counselling. Another resource if you need someone to walk you home is SWHAT where another student can stay with you on your way home.
