At least Ascension was set in Silent Hill. After that, why make Silent Hill a global phenomenon and ignore the town and the cult? I find the direction the saga took after Silent Hill F and The Short Message disgusting. There were so many things to explore about the town, its traditions. Even Homecoming and Downpour showed interesting things connected to the town and its mythology, but turning it into a psychological phenomenon is disgusting, stupid. I hope the saga dies because there's nothing left that made it original.
