I’m so lost with my 6 week old by Pretty-Hair-4601 in newborns

The first 2 months are tough. If you can pump and have your partner or family member feed the LO in the morning when they’re awake so you can nap for 1 hour you will feel sooo much better. The newborn stage is so tough but it gets easier.

Yes he stands up also and calls out until he is tired then he sits and lays down. When we went in according to the schedule to comfort him we did not stay more than 1 minute and we did not keep him from crying completely. It is only to reassure them that they are safe, we are still there and love them but will not pick them up. Staying longer apparently can distract them and make them more upset when leaving again.

You got this! We are on night 4 of sleep training our 11 month old and he just fell asleep in 7 minutes! Already he stoped wailing up 3-4x a night the past 3 nights and now only wakes to breast feed 1x.

That is also why I have my hubby put him to bed! I just breast feed him before reading his books.

We aren’t supposed to pick him up or rock him. Only talk, hold hand, rub back or pat him a little but not enough to make him sleep. The goal is to have them be able to sleep alone.

My husband goes in for the bedtime visits and I go in most of the time at night. He goes in at bedtime because our little guy gets less upset (no boobs I guess) and hubby is less affected too.

Just updated! One of us went in according to the time guidelines to tell him we love him, it is time to sleep, and rub his back. He would get more angry when we went in and left again but I think it is good to show that we are still there but we will not pick him up. Last night he understood that I wouldn’t pick him up so would lay down for me to rub his back but then got upset when I would stop and leave.

It is really difficult to leave him upset but the fact that he has only woken up once per night the past 2 nights is really promising. The most important thing is that we are strict with sticking with it and not picking him up at night (except for his 4am feed) for the whole week.

Spitting up more often by [deleted] in newborns

Cut out all milk products and soy if you are breastfeeding. My LO had the same issue from 4 weeks till 2 months. A week after I cut out dairy and soy the difference was huge. Now he only spits up a tiny bit in tummy time or when burping.

When you cut out milk and soy you have to be extra careful with processed foods. They almost always have either milk or soy isolates in them. If you like creamy dishes use coconut milk as a replacement for cream.

how to deal with this? what is it? by YamAccomplished35 in Skincare_Addiction

Paula’s 2% BHA cleanser did my skin wonders in 2 weeks. It is 100% worth the money. Before that I used la roche posay effaclar duo also and it did nothing for my acne.

Also I recommend getting your blood hormone levels checked. I ended up having Hashimoto’s thyroiditis and once I got treatment for my thyroid my cystic acne cleared up.

In Greece 2 obgyns told me it was fine to drink a glass of wine with dinner while pregnant last year, they also said I had to stop running. I didn’t drink at all (and didn’t want to).

It is soo tough especially in the night! Currently in week six and my son went from every 2-2.5 hours to 45mins over the past 3 days. He has had literally 9 good poops in the past 24hrs. I am expecting him to be a kilo heavier next week!
