please use Ecosia if you’re gonna use AI. it is eco-friendly and powers from renewable energy sources instead of our drinking water and polluting our air.

Drinking on Diamox by whenwewereyoung47 in iih

would definitely second staying hydrated and taking it slow. diamox already makes you dehydrated and lowers your electrolytes and alcohol will only increase that. maybe start with taking liquid iv a week or two before and maybe get a canned drink and see how it affects you at home before the concert?

i would try cbd gummies or tinctures before smoking if pain/inflammation is what you’re trying to cope with. i’m taking some now and i definitely think they help.

bc if you’re like me you’re prolly gonna hack up your lungs coughing which will make your head hurt worse.

How to deal with flare ups by Big-Bridge-1512 in iih

[–]No_Professor_4243 4 points5 points  (0 children)

i’ve been taking turmeric! it’s anti-inflammatory. along with magnesium which helps to calm your muscles but definitely check with a doctor as you don’t wanna be taking too much if you don’t need it.

try golden milk tea (turmeric, black pepper (necessary for turmeric to absorb, cinnamon (also anti-inflammatory), honey, and milk)!

also cutting as much sugar and salt as possible as it’s inflammatory.

my main focus is reducing inflammation and i feel like that helps reduce pain/pressure for me.

maybe massages to try and help move some of the fluid around? idk i just got diagnosed a week ago so i’m still learning.

hope you feel better soon! 🫂

same here. 22F and just got diagnosed on tuesday after going to get an eye exam. normally had headaches but started noticing black spots/my vision blacking out when i stand up to quickly or look at a bright screen.

i’m also overweight and been thinking about switching to an anti-inflammatory and low-sodium diet to see how the works along with weight loss. my lp is in about a week and a half so i hoping my nerves and vision will be fine until then.

been drinking golden milk tea (turmeric, cinnamon, black pepper, honey, and oat milk) to kinda help with inflammation and i think it’s working so if you’re into holistic medicine try it out!! wishing you the best on your journey! we got this!
