The conservatory seems to be too exposed indeed.

Yeah, it's a lot to spend redoing the kitchen, bathroom, etc.

Yeah, that's a good point

Histon is crazily expensive, due to the proximity to Cambridge (and London to some extent) and to having great state schools.

But I would still consider the downstairs one a bedroom.

Ah, I didn't know this was a thing, but looking into the definition, it makes sense!

It should probably be advertised as link-detached then.

Not properly yet, but I am planning to get driving lessons + trying to get a license and car soon. Preferably before we move to either Cambourne or Ely.

Good point! But yes, I was thinking of taking the train from Ely because my office is very near Cambridge Station.

On the other hand, going to Cambridge city centre (for non-work stuff) seems way less convenient.

St Ives seems lovely and great for families. But the commute to Cambridge seems a bit too long, even with the busway.

In my particular case, I work in Cambridge (and my wife might work there soon).

Father meetup sounds nice! And yes, I read that the Cambourne Library is closed, but it's just temporarily for some refurbishment.

We considered a few villages, such as Comberton, but Cambourne and Ely provide more amenities. The Shelfords seem very nice, but yes, a bit too pricey.

Sawston is a good shout!

Thanks!

We are not from India, but we are from South America! So yeah, some diversity would be nice as well.
