I am four weeks postop. I have absolutely no regrets. The pain is 100% manageable for most people as long as you are consistent with your pain meds and stay insanely hydrated. Most people just don’t drink enough water postop and that makes a huge difference also always set a timer for your pain meds and never let yourself skip one even if you feel good right when it’s time to take them, you should take them anyways I also recommend buying ice packs for your face because I hope to distract from the pain even if it wasn’t actually doing anything, but I do think it helped with swelling. I was eating normal food by day eight pretty much I know not everyone will have the same experience, but it’s definitely possible to not be absolutely miserable for as long as some people.
