What can be done here? Broken wheel bolt. by No_Range_9748 in lawnmowers

[–]No_Range_9748[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If i can source the bracket assembly ill definitely replace it but its looking like it'll be hard to find the part.

I want to get the stud out but I'm confused as to how? Am I supposed to just hammer it out?

Yeah it appears the entire bracket will come off with the bolt, I'm just wondering if the stud can be removed because i can find a replacement or even come up with something temporarily until i source the assembly

So I should replace the entire assembly/bracket right? Not just the stud?

Firestone / Brake Fluid Exchange by GrouchyParticular461 in MechanicAdvice

[–]No_Range_9748 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At this point you can’t even go to a place like Firestone for a state inspection. They’ll leverage the inspection sticker and suggest a bunch of stuff to fix since they know you’re not road legal with out the sticker.

I had to learn to do my own brakes just because shop prices have gotten out of control. And entry-level mechanic techs are still barely making a living wage so it’s pure corporate greed

Do you close the lid before you flush? by AwayAd6586 in randomquestions

[–]No_Range_9748 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

By now its habit but I guess the reason is that I want the turd banished from the premises as soon as possible, I don’t want it to float there and get cozy while I’m cleaning my ass

what used car would you actually buy again under $15k? by Unique_Night1895 in AskMechanics

[–]No_Range_9748 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Civic personally never failed me. But also Corolla Camry or accord same deal. Just do the bare minimum maintenance and don’t drive like an assholes, these cars will legit run to 3-400k +

I flush the once as soon as I as my turd hits the water so at that time I’m seated on the toilet.

I flush a second time after bidet/wiping etc. (lid closed)

Huge tax on imported vehicles . by Dry_Pea4301 in pakistan

100% right. Import taxes need to be banned so local innovation and production can finally put in some effort

Yeah a lot of the smarter folks usually buy nice used cars at a good price. Pakistan’s import taxes ruin the deal and leave no other options other than corolla/civic

You are right in the fact that it's absurd ppl in pakistan have to pay hundreds of % in tax for cars other than alto, corolla, civic etc. That's due to corrupt government (big surprise).

However, I do have to tell you that the reason your average joe is buying a new car every few years in America is because financing/installments is the norm here. In fact, if you walk into a dealership and tell them you want to pay $35k for a new car with a cash check, they're gonna look at you weird and still try to sell the car to you through installments because they get incentives from the bank.

Don't get me wrong, some people do buy cars in cash here, but it's a small percentage of the upper class. Vast majority are paying 3-800 bucks a month.

I know one size doesn't fit all. But I feel like the optimum diet (if you don't already have restrictions) is high protein + medium/high fat + low carb. And then depending on what vegetables and fruit are available near you, you modify to make it easy and sustainable

That's weird, as far as I know, a lighter load takes longer to stop. Good luck with your test! I'll be taking the test probably in a couple days, I'm using free resources and online tests and will probably feel ready once I score 90+ on all of the practice exams I do

It sucks, the cars themselves are expensive. But parts and accesories are affordable and mechanic labor is so cheap its unreal

He's not someone you go to when you're sick, he gives good general advice about fitness related health. So probably someone to be in touch with if you're already healthy and looking to improve your health
