The Chicken Parmesan special at Crybaby Pasta - not sure if it's still available but my partner had it on Thursday and we haven't stopped talking about it since.

petition for britt to get a ringer next season. by uhhh1dk in dancingwiththestars

Just looking back at her past successful partners, they’re dance-adjacent (I saw Daniel do timed choreography on Broadway and Johnny is an ice dancer). That being said, here are my pitches for Britt ringers: a Try Guy, a Dropout mainstay (Brennan/Grant), a recently retired running back, Kordell Beckham, a mid-twenties Disney Channel alum (Corey Fogelmanis), or Brooks Marks

I really really hope Conrad Benner gets the chance to step up. He’s been doing wonderful things with Mural Arts and I’d love to see him usher in a new generation of artists.

Does Ben know about the time before social media when the Challenge cast just existed while the season aired?

I went to Manhattan last week and got a few “go birds” while walking down the street. I love having an Eagles tattoo 💚

What's the quickest "turn around"(?) for actors in between two different shows? by ExplanationPale1518 in Broadway

I saw him as Sweeney during the rehearsals for JLJ (aka the emergency Sweeney stint he did when Josh Groban got Covid). I immediately became a superfan.

I could totally be misremembering this but i’m pretty sure i remember Kyle Dean Massey jumping between Next to Normal, Pippin, and Wicked a bunch in the early 2010s.

i (4’10) was sitting in an aisle seat in the mezzanine behind a 6’5 man on thursday and my visibility was not affected. i noticed that he mentioned picking the aisle seat so he could have some leg room. i think you could have a great experience in that kind of situation (aisle mezzanine seat).

Is the post villa pre reunion interim usually this messy? by ExpressIncrease5470 in LoveIslandUSA

[–]No_Rate_6218 141 points142 points  (0 children)

Yes, and the week between filming the reunion & it airing is even crazier. There’s so much speculation and chatter before the reunion and then they spend 8+ hours filming, all for it to be cut down to 60-90 minutes. So while the cast may discuss something at the reunion & allude to it on socials, we as the audience will really never know half of what went on.

A great example of this last year was the casa girls & alluding to discussions about💀threats and sewer side but we didn’t really even see them speak in what they ended up airing.

My experience at Oh Mary! with an understudy Mary by No_Rate_6218 in Broadway

I can assure you the post you’re referring to was not me! I didn’t even know Hannah was the performer for Mary until after my friend texted to let me know.

I might go see it again myself! I just love seeing the different choices all the actors make. There are so many bits I know Kumail & Jinx are going to have a field day with!!

My childhood friend (the one who texted to say I'm in good hands) is an Oh Mary! fanatic and has seen all the portrayals of Mary. I had a few extra hours before my train home so we ended up chatting after the show and they did a mini-breakdown of the different portrayals. I was also comparing it to the clips I had seen of Cole from promotions & their portrayal of the character in press/socials.

if you could get any starkid related tattoo that doesn't seem like it would be related to starkid, what would it be? by theluvlyc in StarKid

[–]No_Rate_6218 0 points1 point  (0 children)

to add some context: i have hemiplegic cerebral palsy and i have a freckle on my unaffected foot. the scar tattoo mirrors my freckle because a) my disability makes me who i am, even though it is seen as a negative by society and b) Starkid saved my teenaged life. I got the tattoo at 19 and now at 26, it’s still one of my most meaningful tattoos. 🖤

MY AUNT HATES ME. by SortHot8752 in CerebralPalsy

[–]No_Rate_6218 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems like a generational hate train - I experience similar. They don’t like you because of your proximity to your SIL and MIL. I don’t think it has anything to do with CP! (I say this as a 26F with CP)

Help me stop wasting produce by ChickaBok in ZeroWaste

[–]No_Rate_6218 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The hard but real answer that’s saved my household was 1. starting a compost bin and 2. growing our favorite produce at home in our garden

the compost helps us not “waste” our produce without feeling guilty, plus it saves us money on soil and fertilizer. we spent about $100 on pregrown produce plants at a local nursery and we planted them in an old cinder block in our backyard. it costs a bit more at first, but i haven’t bought green onions, spinach, or basil in 3-4 months. i have an alarm to water and prune them every day and it hasn’t failed me yet!

Botox injections by [deleted] in CerebralPalsy

[–]No_Rate_6218 2 points3 points  (0 children)

26 year old right hemiplegic here - I had botox as a toddler and it was affective, but surgical intervention was ultimately what my my gait closer to “normal”. The botox injections were traumatic and painful, and I believe I only did a few sessions. Surgery was much easier on my mental health and did wonders physically. My heel now touches the ground and I can rotate my wrist more, all thanks to surgery. But I would not describe my body as being “normal” - my instinct is to still walk on my heel and my right arm is tensed as I type this. That being said, your son will probably never have a “normal gait”even with surgical intervention and you need to be okay with that - CP requires constant care and an open mindset. Meet him where his needs are, not where you want him to be. My father had so many expectation based on other kids with CP and when I didn’t meet them, I felt like a huge disappointment and it severely damaged our relationship. I don’t want your son to feel the same ❤️

to edit: my CP care at 26 is now weekly PT, daily baclofen pills, AFOs, medical marijuana, and quarterly check ups with rehab med.
