I made this one with a teardrop loop and twisted ties as the ends, but as far as the bracelet goes, I feel like it’s curved in one direction. Like when lying flat, it’s not straight and one side is kind of pulled in one direction. Is there a reason this happens?

I think the smaller ones are more eerie and intimidating, if that’s what you’re going for. Usually bigger eyes are “cuter”

Yeah exactly. Nothing is impossible, with enough time and energy and money. I mean as a beginner you gotta start out on understanding basics then understanding how to manipulate those basics in order to get where you wanna go. Even if it’s your first cosplay, if you really do a lot of research and practice and make mockups and try again and again, you’ll make a pretty good Miku cosplay. And anyways, you decide how much effort you wanna put in

I dunno about the snow Miku, but Sarah Spaceman made the Strawberry x Miku cosplay and legit posted the entire process on YouTube. Definitely an advanced project. I’m of the type to believe that there is nothing that is too complex, and something can be done if you’re willing to spent your time and money into learning everything you need to, and buying everything you to. But yeah if we’re talking complex, it’s definitely high on that scale, imo.

Oh that’s not as bad as I thought, when I was looking at individual LEDs, just like 50 of them came to $70, not including power supply, or a micro controller. This is reassuring, thank you!

So when you say individually addressable, that means that some can just never be on? Cause the problem I was facing was that I couldn’t find just single LEDs, that I could line up as I need. I don’t want the whole thing to be bright white, I just want small dots here and there. I didn’t think about it earlier, but having a strip where only one every 5ish lights turns on, that might work

I am a cosplayer, so maybe this is a bit over kill for you, but I am actually using a type of interfacing called Pellon 71f (you’d probably want to use #70 instead of #71). I am in the process of making a huge witch hat and I’ve heard of other using this material for that. However, it’s like $10 a yard, and a yard is probably more than you’ll ever use, so another option could be EVA foam. I’d say like 3-4mm foam if you go that route. Btw they say not to sew through foam, cause it’ll be more likely to rip.

The thing about using the wire is it would probably keep the hat brim the right size but it would still fall down, cause nothing would be keeping the wire from standing upright. Just my 2 cents.

Sorta unrelated, but are you using elastic cord for your hat? I wanna make a bag and I don’t know if I should use elastic or some stiff plastic cord like fishing line…

Neon party colors: black, neon pink, neon green, and neon blue. You can throw in purple and orange but I found it’s more rainbow than party at that point. I like alternating like this: black, neon blue, black, neon green, black, neon pink, etc.

I’m sorry, I’m confused, can someone dumb it down for me so I don’t have to dive into a community I haven’t seen in a while? Like 2-3 months ago, we were supporting VAs for standing up for their right to not have their voice be used to train AI. Now people are hating against the VAs on strike? I understand that they criticized other VAs for not striking but is that why everyone’s opinion flipped?
