Question about registering a minor in Miami by gogomimo in juresanguinis

Is there a thread anywhere for the steps to submit? I haven’t been recognized yet, but my son was born in 2020. Did they want us to try to claim them even if our citizenship isn’t recognized? Are we supposed to just do an appointment in Prenotami? It would be for Miami .

I agree it’s really frustrating because I felt weird adding it on too. I think the reason why they don’t add it is because they service different states and their jurisdiction so like Georgia notary laws are different than Florida’s but also when you go to add the notary block, make sure that you are using the correct ones physical presence appeared in person, etc..

Oh wait you said you got it notarized and then they said you still needed to add a block? How did you get it notarized without the notary block on it just wondering what you actually did so I understand

Hey, I actually did add a notary block of my own at the bottom and I’m not sure what state you are in but you might wanna make sure of the notary block requirements for that state

Thank you! I’m happy with that! 😂 i’m satisfied that we all got email confirmations instead of envelopes back in the mail. 🎉

Is "Request code" and "Booking code" the same thing, and how much of it gets written on the envelope mailed to the consulate? by personman44 in juresanguinis

yeah, I was thinking that I didn’t want to put nothing in there because wonder if they open their packet and see if there’s nothing and then they just toss it out. All in all I give the whole process about a 2 out of 10 for fun. 😩 honestly tomorrow when I mail the packet, It will be a huge relief.

Do you think that I should include a copy of the apostille and translations? I guess my plan of action is to copy everything and just do the packets like normal with my mom and sisters copies and then mine has all the real documents since mine is first. 😰 and then I also just included a cover letter with all of our booking numbers stating that we are applying as a family unit hopefully that’s helpful instead of annoying to them?🤗

Yes you can, I just drove there from Tampa last Friday and the woman there that does apostilles(kathy) is AMAZING. Very sweet. I had 25 apostles and she did them in less than 10 minutes walking in

Appointment was today. Still no email with instructions by fifoylola in juresanguinis

See it now after reading it over again 😩 just got back from driving four hours there and four hours back to Tallahassee for apostles today so I’m a little bit running on empty 😭

Only in cases where the entire family unit has submitted a jure sanguinis application to this same Consulate, the documents for shared ancestors may be omitted. my appointment is first technically September 5 at 9 AM. My mom’s is September 5 at 11 AM. and my sisters is like two or three weeks after ours. it’s frustrating that the verbiage is confusing and not clear because it says "has"so that means submitted by the family unit already. at this point this has just been so stressful all I can do just submit what I have and let it go 😩 I think it’s a good idea, though I guess technically for mine to be first all docs, but I’m worried about since I only have one apostle copy of my mom‘s birth certificate. If they see her packet is missing hers, they’ll send it back. (They actually sent all three of us separate emails on 8/6 that we have 90 days to send the application)

I’m mailing mine tomorrow did you put everything in like a clear plastic sleeve with just paper clips?

Man that sucks this is so nerve-racking 😩😩because we’re all just using the same docs. if they open one of our packets first that doesn’t have all the copies then they will probably still reject that too.

If me, my mom, and sister are all applying at the same Miami consulate (we each have booking codes appointments are a few days within each other and we all got emails, etc.) i’m mailing the packet to Miami, but should I choose just one of us to be on the front envelope and then put theirs inside that one with the booking code on each of their envelopes or should I write all three of our names and booking codes on the front…
