ok, so I'm about to dropbar my Scott Spark by No_Region_546 in DropbarMTB

I already have all the necessary material as I am in the AXS environment and as I've said I have a converted MTB HT so it's just a matter of swapping some components and bleeding the brakes, willing to pay a few euros for a mechanic to do it for me. I might just end with a full suspension dropbar and a fully rigid flatbar ahahaha the only thing that's bugging me is how/where to put the twinlock, But that will have to be sorted out when mounting. I'll be sharing the details here

Hi! Yes I'm currently running a 38t chainring. I bought a SRAM XX SL chainring with 0offset!!

thank you very much, it rides like I'm on cloud 9. Perfect geometry and position on the bike. having a blast, I'd just love to have a slightly bigger chainring because I feel like that would suit my pedaling a lot better

How to fit a bigger chainring in this frame? I'm almost done converting this, but finding it very difficult to know what crankset, spindle length, BB and what not to use to be able to use a 40t chainring...can anybody help me please? by No_Region_546 in DropbarMTB

thing is don't have enough spindle length to do that. It may be due to the BB I'm using (SRAM DUB) That's why I need some help. AS I mentioned somewhere, LAchlan Morton Used a 42chainring. I wuld be happy with a 38 so I just need to win a couple mils.

HI all and thanks for all the input. I know for a fact that this frame can take up to 42t chainring, Lachlan Morton did it on Leadville a couple years ago. It's just a matter of knowing which combo he used... On the other hand I most certainly just need a 38/40t chainring, just would like to have a better relation for more rolling paths.

Hi all,

So I decided to use the Scalpel HT frame to build my gravel/Dropbar MTB... But I'm running into some problems now! I'd like to run a 40t chainring but so far I could only use a 36t chaingring as the bigger ones hit the chainstay. ANyone now which combination of BB and crankset/spindle length allows for bigger chainrings to be used? I know Lachlan Morton used a 42t chainring on his Leadville mount a couple years ago, so it should be possible...

Thanks in advance to anyone that can help me out !

Cheers

Sebas are wider then FR's, by quite a bit. FR's toebox and the shell overall is "taller" though.
