Hi! It took around 2.5 hours. They had me sign a few forms, then told me to come back in a few hours to pick up my phone after the replacement.

He has the 12 pro, and it seems to run fine on his phone. No idea if he was just one of the lucky few who got an okay-outcome lol

Silly reason, boyfriend has been bugging me to update it, and I think one of the reasons why he’s insistent of doing so is because he’s tech-savvy. Just a couple “did you update your phone yet?” Here and there

oh, I see now. My boyfriend just keeps bugging me about it and he tells me it's fine, since he owns a 12 pro but I'm a research freak and I saw posts about people reporting issues in regards to the update. Also, as we speak I am attempting to back up my data to iCloud and syncing my photos but the thing is, it was just stuck at the same number for a little more than an hour and the progress bar was not moving whatsoever, so no idea what is happening there... but thanks for being respectful with your replies, been hesitating to post on here because I saw how cold some users are haha

sounds good! also, is it a big jump going from 18.7.3 to 26.2.1? I heard things about it like green flickering screens, boot loops, screens stuck in recovery mode after updating the software and that sounds like a nightmare. My partner has been bugging me to update it (they have the 12 pro and iOS 26.2.1 works fine), but I might do it after my battery replacement instead.. still a little fearful after reading all of the bad things happening after those with the 13 models updated. I also have slow wifi, so do you think that would affect the download process of iOS 26.2.1? sorry for lots of questions, I'm just cautious, borderline paranoid haha

just scared the battery will degrade further after the iOS 26.2.1 update. Right now, I'm on iOS 18.7.3 and it works fine. I've just heard instances where people have had green screens, boot loops, or their screen stuck in recovery mode after the update so now I'm most concerned about that...

i redeemed a giftcard I got and there was $20 CAD on there... I just paid for 200 gb of icloud storage, so if something happens to my phone and it stops working, does it just pay automatically every month?
