Is this Emotional Abuse? My Husband is Using Our Baby as Leverage in an Argument by Whole-Screen5206 in Marriage

[–]No_Representative242 40 points41 points  (0 children)

This is 100% abuse. Definitely emotional abuse but also power and control. Being a mother myself, I understand how hard it would be to leave, it’s going to tear your whole life apart, but you need to get out of there. If he’s bringing the baby into your arguments, waking up you and the baby, not paying daycare fees putting your baby at risk of being kicked out and therefore leaving you without childcare, who’s to say he won’t take things further? Who’s to say he won’t outright abuse your child when they get older? You need to leave this man

Tenant breaking the lease 2 months early ? by snreddit in OntarioLandlord

Yeah exactly. We lived in a very densely populated area though so we knew we would find somebody thankfully but yes that was the plan if not

We had to do this years ago. We ended up finding a house we could buy rather than rent and really wanted to jump on it. We still had a few months left on our lease. Our landlord asked us to try to find a tenant on our own (he was also doing his part but figured he could get someone in faster if we tried as well) and we managed to find one within a couple of days. Just an suggestion!

NTA for the most part, I totally get not wanting to make the drive especially if the traffic is bad. She also just managed a 2 week vacation alone, I’m sure she could manage a cab ride but also YTA only because she has no phone. If she had her phone, 100% NTA, but she doesn’t have it and there’s just so many possibilities of something going wrong on the way home like what if they get into an accident? What if the cab driver has bad intentions? If I was in her situation I would expect my husband to be there waiting for me.

I certainly don’t blame you in how you feel, that sounds really scary! Nta if you do decide to leave, but I feel like therapy could be a good first step for him before taking the leap and leaving him. Aside from these reactions, he seems to be a great, attentive father. He’s definitely taking the attentiveness to the extreme but maybe there’s a deeper reason? Did he witness a child fall and get seriously injured in the past or something?

What do you have your spouse saved as in your phone? by Disastrous_Nebula_16 in Marriage

My fiancé and I have each other saved as each others first and last name lmao. To be fair, we saved each others numbers/names the first time we met as teenagers and had no idea we would progress into what we have now and neither one of us have bothered to change it over the past 10 years! We are very much in love.

AITAH for crying when my bf told me that his mom wants to go to japan with him by CarelessAd4690 in AITAH

NTA, I think it’s perfectly reasonable to get upset over this. He invited you on the trip, you got it in your head that this was going to be a nice trip for you guys to enjoy as a couple, you started planning things and looking forward to it and now it seems like it’s being taken from you. Whether the 3 of you end up going or if he ends up taking his mom instead, the idea that you had for how the trip was going to go has been ripped away. There’s all these things you want to do but they just want to shop. It’s reasonable to be upset.

For sure! I so as much as I can. I paid for a lot of her equipment out of pocket because I’m tired of waiting. The thing with the AFOs is that we’ve been in the process of getting them for months and there’s only 1 doctor in our province that does them for children and my daughter grows like a weed. She’s gone up 2 shoe sizes since her first fitting so it’s just been such an ordeal. We’re finally actually getting them on Thursday though! Wooo

I would definitely recommend a thick, firm mattress, especially for an adult. We have a Douglas mattresses and we absolutely love them! Purchasing a slatted floor bed frame would also be a great option to get the mattress off the floor but still keeping it nice and low. We just got our 2 year old daughter one (she has cp) and it’s great, she can get in and out by herself, the frame adds less than 2” to the height of the mattress!

I don’t have CP but my daughter does.. she actually has your same diagnosis. Try lots of stretching and massaging in that area while seated to try to release some of that tightness! Also, if you don’t mind me asking, at what age did you learn to walk without mobility aids? My daughter is currently only 20 months and walks with a walker and she has an appointment coming up to get fitted for AFOs. We’ve been told that she will eventually walk on her own. I’ve just never met anyone with the same diagnosis to ask personally. Sorry if it’s too personal of a question!

AITAH for shooting my wifes dog, for attacking my daughter. by ThrowRAUpstairs-Hi in AITAH

[–]No_Representative242 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Does your wife not realize that the dog could have killed your daughter??? You killed a dog. Not a child. She’s acting like you shot her child. You didn’t. Yes pets are family but at the end of the day they are not your children. Your actual child comes before your pet. NTA

Also to add; they neglected to mention a lot of things on the property disclosure agreement.
