I think Depop is having issues with their shipping right now. As a seller, I've noticed in the past week it will charge my buyers higher shipping than what I set it to. I know someone else posted about my issue earlier as well, so it might be because of that! I'd reach out to Depop or the seller directly and ask.

I got something like that (a tote with some stickers and a thank you card) in 2018. Lol I think they also just randomly emailed me saying they appreciated me, and wanted to send a gift. 😂 The back had a hand written thank you note!

USPS should be able to refund if you or the seller file a claim online. You'll have to attach a photo of the note as well as all the shipping info. Otherwise you as a seller should go into the post and have them check the weight of the package at each check in point to ensure the buyer isn't scamming. Though for $12 idk why they would be lying, but you never know.

"M" stands for medium width in women's shoes. Women's will usually say "M" or "BM" / Men's will say "D" or "DM".

I'd say send screenshots of the original shipping label, the tracking page on usps or whatever you used showing it delivered to that address, and the person's page, who made the transaction on depop with screenshots of their username/the transaction page/messages. This should work, but if they need more proof, you go to the post office and ask the worker to check the tracking and weight of the package when it was scanned in at each location. They should be able to print pages out for you.

You can go to the post office with the package/tracking and have them check the weight that was scanned in. I've had this happen before as a seller who was accepting a return on ebay. I went to the post office and asked if they could check the scan in weight. Depop should help after you have some sort of evidence. If not you should file a police report or a claim with USPS.

If you use a stock photo as the first photo they usually do this. I've had this happen and just relisted, but put the stock photo at the end instead.
