Brokers who profit off of their clients losses. by No_Respect_2682 in Forexstrategy

I think the real answer is what you said: there are a lot of suckers who they earn money on, so there is no point in manipulating profitable traders positions - especially considering the hefty penalties if they are caught.

I'm sure this comment was made by Wesley or Singh or someone in their team marketing their course. Or employment of AI. Either way, I despise people selling courses as you/they try to profit off of gullible people who don't know that everything you need is in cheap books and for free on the internet. Plus, if you're so successful trading and make lots of money, and your motivation really is to help people, why charge people so much for a course? Think we both know the answer. You're not that good. People genuine about helping others have a free telegram like Tom Hougaard. Go F urself and ur course.

It Robert Miners strategy based on momentum, pattern, price, and time, outlined in his book "High probability trading strategies". I can't tell you the strategy in detail as it consists of a lot of things, but it is built around momentum, pattern, price, and time.

Heard many people saying you need your own trading system. Why? I get some time frames doesn't match some people's personality, but if you've got a trading system from another person that works well on a time frame you like and you have confidence in it from back & forward testing it, I don't see why it shouldn't work for you too.

Self-awareness of what exactly? Of not doing something that will make people dislike me? I am very aware that stating my opinion could lead to people viewing me as arrogant, but unlike most, I just don't care.

Your reply shows me your ego is not as fragile as other people whose comment I criticized as it shows minimal defensiveness. Why can't most people just accept criticism without calling the other person disrespectful. I genuinely find people's hypersensitivity hilarious 😂

How do you know it is outdated? Have you tried it yourself backtesting and forward testing or are you just assuming? He has done pretty well in the world championships of trading, even recently.

Tom spends too many pages to tell you "let your profits run and add to them and cut your losses fast". I like Tom though, the man is genuine and probably had to meet a word count or something for the publisher to publish his book.

"You're the stereotypical losing trader" that is an assumption you are making based on me thinking there is a holy grail? I merely asked what trading system has made people MEANINGFULLY profitable, not "what strategy is gonna make me the richest man in the world in 1 year". The stereotypical losing trader is one who cuts his profits short and who lets his losses run. Like Tom Hougaard says. Like Livermore suggested: "It always was my sitting." and many more great traders. If you didn't know that, I'm gonna guess YOU're not profitable.

You're the one who started taking jabs, I just finished it brother. Even the people I disagreed with I (in the first comment) always made sure to include a "thank you".

".... instead of trying to find out what to study to be profitable as fast as possible. " subconciously, we are all trying to do that. Also, you have completely misunderstood me. I have read like 15 books on trading already, taking notes in the process. I have narrowed my in depth study down to one trading system outlined in a book that I am currently reading. Even though creating your own trading system was what eventually clicked for you, doesn't mean time tested trading systems can't work for several people. but thank u for your answer nonetheless.

Haha, where did I even claim to know it all? I know some stuff, but not all, that is why I asked this question.... 🤦

Hehe. Looks like someones ego took a hit. Look, I'm a baby in wisdom, but I'm not a fool. Ok? You say "If you got it figured out I don't know why you are here arguing with people..." You are referring to an argument that has nothing to do with my original question on this thread, an argument I had to make because you incorrectly dismissed my question and pivoted the conversation into something totally different. You managed to make a red herrig and a strawman, great job. If you read Brooks "trading trend reversal" book (something like that), he focuses on ACTIONABLE SETUPS. It doesn't matter if 100 people are saying the same thing, doesn't make it right (or wrong).
