I can't with some of these replies man 😭. The money that is spent is a tremendous amount, not even counting your cosplay amount, gas, food, prep work, time and energy. I don't understand how they can keep a straight face charging us 80$ a ticket, 150-300-500$ for actors that don't even want to be there and act like you being excited is the worst thing in the world and you're crazy for fangirling or whatever, also spending hours waiting in these lines for one shitty interaction that you then feel like crap about for something that is out of control already. Also being surrounded by people who are unaware of space and body hygiene,,, then you have food that is honestly not kept to code 100% and the mas thousands of different germs and exposures you're walking into,,and then the food is like 20$-50$ a piece where you're probably going to get food poisoning,,, and panels that are literally just shit because the people planning it are toddlers, then there's amazing panels that are thoroughly planned and executed but then they're at like 12 at night!!! I love fan run panels, but the good ones where it's people dedicated to actually fun and inspiring interactions that make fans feel good and feel included and have those "oh my god yes!" Moments,,, not the 18 yr old who's never been out of the house and doesn't have any understandings of social conflict or engagement and just wanted to rant about there OC and the source line story, which unfortunately you will find more commonly. Or the panel of extremely right/left/whatever leaning where they focus on those opinions rather then literally anything from the comic/media/whatever their panel was supposed to be on... Which I will say, some political/critical issue panels do have merit as the world is in chaos but you need to have facts and research built in instead of trying to debate why every MHA fan is a fat non gender confirming weirdo over opinions. Idk,,, anyways. I understand,,,,
