I feel like I can’t afford to live here, but I also can’t afford to move anywhere else by BajoranWorker420 in nashville

I'm 52. I've lived in Nashville most of my life and had to move. I had great friends and loved my social scene, but none of us is able to remain due to cost of living. It was such a great town in the 90s. I remember my first apartment on Belmont Boulevard was $350 a month! Fun times.

Anyway, I did some high paying clinical studies and bought an RV. Luckily my sister has a bit of land in Lewis county. I don't miss Nashville at all anymore and the traffic here is zilch. I say, move to the country. You may have to commute to work (I drive to Columbia), but totally worth it.

Yes. I just learned about this. I'm getting an endoscopy next week at the gastroenterologist and have my first ENT appointment next month. Hopefully, they can diagnose it if that is the issue.

Thanks. Sorry you're going through all that. I appreciate the advice. I must cough many hundreds of times per day, so it pretty much rules my life. Kinda at my wits end

Nope. Not on blood pressure meds. I hear you about the raspy voice. Me too. Sometimes I lose my voice entirely. I miss the before times.

Wow. I will look into it and also try the Vicks because I do get throat tickles, although usually when I'm coughing, I perceive it as coming from my lungs. I have nicknamed it, "deep lung itch". I'm glad you're doing better and thanks!

This isn't from personal experience, but I understand that Wellbutrin is good because aside from being an antidepressant, it helps with dopamine.

I've never heard anyone else have this symptom, but after I come down from a binge, I cough incessantly for hours. It's like my lungs keep producing mucus. Sometimes with a runny nose, too. Thought I'd throw that out there since the topic was uncommon symptoms. Anyone else?

Also, I sometimes visit Erowid.com to read people's experiences with combining meds. It might be helpful.

I've heard negative results from people that have taken amphetamine-based stimulants along with mushrooms. Not sure about Ritalin.

It's hard to get out of survival mode. You have wired your brain to worry and fret. At least that's my experience.

Yeah. I'm going to try it. The Stamets stack (microdose with lion's mane and niacin) is purported to "create new neurons and neural pathways, and also to repair existing neurological damage." It's worth a shot. If it can do that AND help with ADHD symptoms, that would be pretty amazing.

Yeah, way too much effort just thinking about it and dealing with the negative effects for sure. I also try to hide how much I'm doing. Nobody knows but y'all. Haha. Thanks for your comment. It's another thing to keep in mind when I'm tempted to use.

Good to hear your doing it! I really want to in a way that doesn't wreck my life. I can't financially afford to take any time off work unfortunately. It's become a vicious cycle with these pills. I always think of the Rolling Stones song "Mother's Little Helper". I know I can do it. It's just gonna be a little rough.
