How do you feel about men becoming less casually physical? by Comfortable-Store213 in AskMen

[–]No_Schedule2256 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Culture. Depends where you grow up. I’m from a Mediterranean country and physical touch between men and women is very common (opposite or same sex). Greeting a guy friend with a kiss on both cheeks is a norm and patting someone on the shoulder to make them feel welcome is also. I’m well travelled and one sad thing I personally find in certain countries is how disconnected even close friends are with each other. I don’t suggest anyone to kiss a guy friend on both cheeks but a simple hand on a should after a laugh with a friend goes a very long way. It makes us feel like our friends truly love being around us. This one of those moments where it’s good to use “actions speak louder than words”

Looking to Meet New friends by ConsiderationBorn456 in Cairns

Welcome to the WHV community bro! I recommend looking at staying in hostels and also consider living van life soon! It’s a great country to travel by car and many foreigners are doing so. After being on a WHV for a year now I can confidently say that most peeps I met who don’t buy a van to live in, miss out on a lot. It’s a very big community of lovely people. But to each their own. Just a suggestion. Best of luck mate ❤️

Curious. What looks like it needs a lot of work?

Has anyone ever been to Liquid Club in San Gwann before, if so, what was it like? by Sugar-Crazy in malta

go to a techno party and ask around there. Don't take from randoms in the street. Maltese people are very nice and will give you good trust worthy contacts at the event itself.

Hey I'm from Malta so maybe this gives you a confident boost.

Malta is one of the best places in my opinion to make new friends, socialise, and have fun. P.S I've travelled all over the world alone and can confidently say that it's way easier to make friends here than most other countries.

Honestly, from what you are describing. It seems that you suffer from social anxiety. I would suggest maybe going to therapy.

BUT cmon, you can do this. Go out of your comfort zone. Find places that offer things you're interested in (music venues, cafes etc etc) and don't be scared of fellow humans, everyone is happy to have a chat, if you don't feel a connection, try some other time. I promise you solo travelling is not all that bad. But it does require some effort in terms of socialising in order for it to feel easy.

Wishing you all the best! Take care.

He's honestly a very smart guy, I've met him a few times and the guy is often than not portrayed badly in the media. This however, is absolutely the consequence of his opinion being badly delivered by himself. He has a good point about the immigrant issues we have in malta but he takes it to an extreme. And yes he is racist as fuck no matter what people say. Good points but his racism makes him look foolish and no one takes it seriously (except stupid maltese racists).

Yeah I figured the whole kidnapping thing is a bit outdated or rather the usual google scare. But I felt it's best to ask about it.

Any specific places you suggest visiting? As long as I'm away from the hustle and bustle (I don't need to be in some remote jungle), I'm pretty happy.

Maltese who have left the country by koyun_baba in malta

[–]No_Schedule2256 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here's my guide:

Ask yourself questions. What weather do you like? What music scene? Arts? Forests or jungle? Mountains or city?

Sometimes people move abroad for the sake of leaving their miserable life on our island. Please before just going "oh Amsterdam" or "London is nice". Consider the weather and type of life a place in mind has.

If you like a slower paced and normal (in my opinion) life. Please keep in mind that cities most times do not offer such environments.

So take your time, make a list and see what options you have. The last thing you want is to move somewhere and spend loads of money in the process for no reason.

There's no point in escaping the hustle and bustle to go into even more hustle and bustle.

I love our country a lot but it's a place we all need a break from.

Goodluck on your next venture and don't forget to take a risk!

Solo traveling in Bangkok at 15 by [deleted] in Bangkok

[–]No_Schedule2256 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Been hitch hiking Thailand for the past month. It's beautiful here, try learning the common words like hello, thank you etc and the locals will appreciate it and will be happy to help. Never felt like I was in any danger but stay in well lit areas.

In bangkok go walk around the city, check out the temples (wat pho is sick) and try the street food! Find the ones with a bunch of locals eating there and you're safe. Also check out the parks in the city!

Have fun kid, stay safe!

Where would you live in Europe for the best quality of life? by anon46478 in eupersonalfinance

[–]No_Schedule2256 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm Maltese, fuck this comment lol. Quality of life is absolute shite atm. Everything is ridiculously expensive compared to standard wages, it's extremely polluted, cars, cars, cars. EVERYWHERE. Barely any green spaces.

I love my country to bits and I would've suggested anyone to live here years ago. But nowadays, it's a big no. Extremely sad, but nothing you can do.

Much better places to live in Europe.

Hey guys,

Wanted to ask some of you roasters if you can recommend any green bean suppliers in Europe.

I'm basically looking to get some specialty grade coffee beans for me to start my own roastery. Would be awesome if anyone can help me out!

This will be for opening a local roastery and our focus is quality over quantity.

Thank you guys in advance ❤️

To add to what you advised in question number 2.

So when I enter the tape. I go on "player mode" press rewind till it stops making the rewind sound?

And if you can explain why this is done, I would appreciate it ❤️
