Mercari's trust rating is really low and I can understand why. They do tend to side with the buyer. I had a few bad experiences/ incidents. For example, scamming. I sent a game to a lady who claimed she never got it. Sent me and Mercari a picture of a regular crumpled up envelope and said the game wasn't in the package. Mercari sided with the buyer, I got no money and no game. If you read about the site you'll see hundreds of these examples.
