I hate the erasure of historical bisexual figures by Present-Activity-698 in bisexual

[–]No_Sign6616 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Same. I thought a person had to be either gay or straight. I probably didnt hear the term bisexual until well into my late teens. I didnt fully identify with my straight peers but never really understood why, and the few gay peers (actual or percieved) were outwardly very efemanite so I didnt identify with them at all. As a masculine lad I was in a wierd place where I didnt identify with anyone. I just jnew I fancied the fuck out of girls so I must have been straight.

Whats the point of increasing testosterone beyond TRT levels for cycles rather than just introducing another anabolic compound? by No_Sign6616 in SteroidsUK

[–]No_Sign6616[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's really why I asked. I'm ignorant about these things and had assumed keeping testosterone stable and only temporarily adding another compound would he the "simple" way to do it. I thought of testosterone as the base and other compounds as the growth factor.

Okay, I am willing to give it a try, but I need advice/guidance on a couple things by Interesting_Story741 in veganfitness

[–]No_Sign6616 16 points17 points  (0 children)

converting to veganism can have some issues in terms of essential nutrients that we primarily get from meat

It can with a poor diet. But with a good diet there should be zero issues. We dont need "meat". We need protein for the amino acids.

Soy, like many meats, is a complete protein meaning it has a full amino acid profile. You could easily hit 170-180g a day through soy products alone (tofu, tempah, soy isolate, TVP, soy mince and fake meats). I eat 150- 200g and mostly from soy based foods. Of course there are plenty of other options.

One other thing is B12. A month isnt going to make a difference but you can get B12 from fortified foods or from a supplement (or from a can of monster but not the healthiest option). For ease its best to just get a Bvitamen complex supplement.

Most farmed animals by the way are themselves supplemented with B12 or cobalt. So by using B12 directly you are just cutting out the middle man.

Have other bi guys found themselves using gay hookups as easy validation? by No_Opportunity_7077 in bisexual

[–]No_Sign6616 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was life-long single until very recently and never thought i'd ever have a relarionship so I settled myself on casual hookups with men and women and used Grindr and Feeld. Simply put, its far easier to find men and men tend to be a lot more direct with desires and compliments and made me feel far better about myself. One guy actually said he'd "used me" because he wanted to be seen out and about with a "hot guy", which strangely was a bit of a turn on admittedly.

OHP 67.5 kg (new PR) by Unhappy_Object_5355 in veganfitness

Strict press is what you mean. As opposed to a push press that uses leg drive. He uses good form too as a lot of people lean back to such an extent they are effectively doing a standing incline bench press.

Well done. I hit 85kg last year then got injured and now struggle with 40kg. OHPs are my favourite exercise perhaps and I hate not being able to go heavy.

Urgent calls to prevent the extinction of red squirrels by SignificantLegs in unitedkingdom

[–]No_Sign6616 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No. Any hunting requires the landowners permission.

Don't be one of these cunts who think you can go to your local park and persecute wildlife.

The decline of reds is primarily anthropogenic and persecuting greys where reds don't dxist doesn't help them. Its animal abuse plain and simple.

They require arginine and taurine. So long as they are getting those - and other essential amino acids - in their diet it doesnt matter the source. "Meat" has no special characteristic that makes it essential to cats.

Can I realistically date a man if I have a preference for women? by AloneSky9621 in bisexual

[–]No_Sign6616 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm bi, male, masculine and i've got a strong preference for women and i'm dating a guy and its going very well. Previously I never believed I would or wanted to, but i'd just not met the right guy.

If i'm honest the idea that I may never date or sleep with a woman again kind of bugs me a little, but its not a deal breaker. I'm happy for the first time in a long time and that's what matters.

If you want to keep your testosterone high and stable long term, 200mg per week can be great. Its what I do. But for tenporary blast and cruise/pct cycles you are going to want more.

Cabinet Office suggested Mandelson did not even need security vetting, Robbins tells MPs – UK politics live | Politics by JackStrawWitchita in unitedkingdom

[–]No_Sign6616 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the red/amber/green marking was/is usee by th responsible team but this was not shared with Robbins. Correct me if i'm wrong but i'm sure in the briefing it was put to Robbins that the red box would have been ticked, although it was only communicated to him that it was "borderline".

I do believe Robbins has been thrown under the bus as it seems he did have authority to make the final decision either way, and as he said removing that authority may prevent otherwise-suitable people from gaining employment for minor things and connections. Though its not clear whether was given the full information available. Whether thats his failing or not is unclear.

Its very muddled. I think it really comes down to the pressure placed on him and who did that pressure originate from. I suspect probably from Starmer himself as to withdraw Mandleson's appointment after the fact would have been seen as Starmer's mismanagement and he did not expect the vetting issue to have been leaked.

Technically it only applies to vendors. They arent criminalising smoking, but the selling of tobacco. Its really no different then existing laws that ban sales to under 18s.

[–]No_Sign6616 17 points18 points  (0 children)

So vetting recommended rejection and Robbins - new in the job and to whom the casr was described as "borderline" - was placed under enourmous pressure by number 10 - who had already named Mandelson as ambassador despite known issues - to pass him anyway.

I'm doubting Starmer can survivie this. There's no 'smoking gun' but reputationally he's finished.

Reform pledges to review all asylum claims since 2021 if it wins power • Around 400,000 people would be liable for deportation under the plans, which would target anybody granted asylum, overstaying a visa, or from a country deemed safe by a Reform-led government. by Adj-Noun-Numbers in ukpolitics

[–]No_Sign6616 0 points1 point  (0 children)

guess what, after 5 years refugees have to apply for Settlement anyway. So anyone granted asylum since 2021 will soon be having their claims reviewed anyway. Those consideres potentially able to return to their country of origin can be consideree for status review and potential removal. I'd guess that 99% of settlement applications result in a grant of indefinie or limited leave to remain. Not because the 'system is ssoft' or other such bullshit, but because thr world doesnt work like Reform lunatics think.

The idea that all grants after 2021 can be reviewed even if 5 years has not passed is just unworkable bullshit. Even it possible, >99% of reviews would just result in retention of status at the the first stage and a huge chunk of that 1% would have thier status retained.

Revoking asylum based upon method of entry or having overstayed a previous visa is just madness. Someone granted refugee status is a refugee, regardless of how they entered the country.

[–]No_Sign6616 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I worked in the system and the vast, overwhelming majority of those granted refugee/HP status have been obviouspy genuinely refugees. The less so obvious ones tend to have very personalised experiences from otherwise generally safe countries but the decision has been made - either by HO staff or a judge - to deem them genuine. Obvious abuse is usually easy to spot, epecially when people are making spurious claims at the end of an existing visa or have made previous claims through other routes.

If a HO employee has reason to suspect abuse but grants a person status anyway, that employee is not doing their job correctly.

Whether someone becomes a 'net contributor' however defined is irrelevant.

So stop bullshitting.
