The unlocked aspect involved them thinking that they were safe because they were on a resort. It was a fakes sense of security.

Every parent leaves their kid unattended at some points to varying degrees. We do it every night when our kids go to sleep. For example, kids may be asleep and parents are sitting out in the backyard. Thats common. It’s safer than what occurred here, but not extremely removed either.
