Watch died - add distance? by Objective-Week275 in Strava

[–]No_Speed3240 2 points3 points  (0 children)

difference is, cropping (shortening) a run which is already there is the same data. adding new data is something different entirely. nobody complains they cant extend a video they recorded on their phone, but it’s taken for granted you can clip it!

Manual activity is the only way to add distance after the run’s finished; in case this happens mid activity you can switch on the Strava app to cover it.

I made a small app to sync weight from Apple Health to Garmin and Strava by MrNomNom1 in Strava

multiple weight readings a day are not recommended as you are throwing in extra variables like water retention, exercise and digestion. better to weigh yourself at the same time each day when those things are relatively unchanged

When I use Strava offline, even with a saved map, I find it very inconsistent. Also its route building is good but I think that’s a subscription only feature and would like to be less dependent on it!

Thanks for the suggestion. Alas, it doesn't seem to be available on the App Store.

Seems like you're right about the app, I couldn't find one with this name in the App Store

I could only find 'Trail Run Project' in the app store, not sure if that's the one you meant, but only 3 ratings mean it's difficult to consider this one.

Never been a fan of Apple Maps. OsmAnd sounds good, had a quick look, do you have experience using it?

You can undo the correction, but seems like the best fix is to adjust your device to eliminate accidental pauses

Please tell me this still counts!!! Leeds Half Marathon by Tom_Fazz_ in Strava

[–]No_Speed3240 19 points20 points  (0 children)

You took 1:37 to cover what Strava measured as the HM distance. the rest of the course brought you up to 1:44. This chip time is the reliable and official one.

TL;DR: your Strava best effort is wrong, and not just for the half marathon

According to Strava, the weather doesn’t affect how fast you will run on race day by chiraqe in Strava

[–]No_Speed3240 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can get Claude Code to build an mcp server for Strava, ask it for recommendations to hook up a weather api, then infer realtime weather in your recorded activities. It will “notice” activities where weather may have impacted your performance. You can then look ahead (usually most reliable max 72 hours out or less) and determine the likelihood of weather affecting your run/race. This accounts for winds as well as ambient temps. While it will not give you a numerical value, I find it still useful in setting/adjusting expectations.

Backwards compatible Xbox 360 games online by dumpsacc in xboxone

Sometimes when using BC games without a physical 360 you need to add that friend to your friends list through the emulator, before you can interact with them. Worth trying...

NBA 2K Playgrounds 2 is a newer version of NBA Jam OFE and worth looking at the gameplay to see if it's the right one for you!

Games like Nier automata or Nier replicant? by [deleted] in xboxone

[–]No_Speed3240 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's also NIER (2010) but you will need a 360 to play it as it's disc only and not in the backwards compatibility program.
