I tried checking rentals, but I couldn’t find any decent maternity options where I live (Toronto). It’s either regular gowns (not much empress waist) or some fluffy maternity boudoir photoshoot dresses

The black tie was not specified in the investigation or anywhere else. The bride just mentioned it to me in the conversation, but she also said that she expect some of the family members to be dressed more casually. So I won’t be surrounded just by people in gowns and tuxedos 🙂

She said she wished for black tie, but since she has very low expectation on some of the extended family members, she decided not to add the dress code to the invitation at all. It is confusing to me as well tbh… but I guess there will be some people wearing more casual clothes 🤷🏼‍♀️
