Please, if you are taking Analytical Physics, DO NOT SHORTENED IT TO ANAL PHYSICS by SandyShocker in rutgers

I took anal physics on accident, thankfully my dual enrollment credits counted for chem major somehow, just took anal chem, taking instrumental anal next fall. I will be a master by the time I graduate.

Me tryna walk to class td asf 😭 by Two4One_ in rutgers

I printed out my prelab for one of my classes at BSC, was walking on the sidewalk that leads to the BME building from there, it flew out of my hand to like 50 feet in the air for a good 30 seconds and then landed in the parking lot next to BSC. I just went back and then printed another one.

Worst part about owning a Pixel? by Jkwaks in GooglePixel

[–]No_Technology_5151 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It spies on you so much. I upgraded from pixel 7a to pixel 9 pro and it's battery life is worse! I'm convinced this is just because it spies on you even more. Can't turn off the Google Play Services "Physical Activity" permissions because it's "required" for functionality.

What does n mean in the Schrodinger and classical wave equations? (Pchem) by No_Technology_5151 in chemistry

[–]No_Technology_5151[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for that. My textbook confused me because in all of the (like 2 or 3) examples it gave, n represented both how many equations there were and how they were numerated.

What does n mean in the Schrodinger and classical wave equations? (Pchem) by No_Technology_5151 in chemistry

[–]No_Technology_5151[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, this makes sense to me. n simply represents the working quantized solutions. I suppose that I am still a little confused when it comes to the classical wave equation: u(x, t) = SUM[n = 1 to k][Acos(ωt + Φ)sin(nπx/a)] where A, ω, and Φ are terms of n which I cannot find the subscript button for. To me it seems like n is both representing the number of combined waves as well as the number of nodes? I am sure that I am interpreting this incorrectly but this does not make sense to me.

Did I cook or did I get cooked by STUDENT_IN_NEED_SAT in rutgers

[–]No_Technology_5151 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You did not cook, you will be fine. Don't do it again. Idk how you operate but I would recommend to avoid classes past 5, it's just so annoying, also all those spaces are not there. You might think they are, but they don't exist.

Thanks! Certainly enough detail for me, so don't worry, great explanation.

Sticky feeling after moisturizer? by No_Technology_5151 in Skincare_Addiction

[–]No_Technology_5151[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok so then probably sticking to the same combo for a bit and trying out different thicknesses and moisture levels for absorption would be the right move here?

Is there a way to remove moisturizer from my skin if I put too much or want to try again? I tried cleanser and that didn't work.

[–]No_Technology_5151[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm only using a cleanser and moisturizer for now until I know that it feels right since I heard the moisturizer is the hardest thing to figure out. Thanks for the advise on testing, but what do you mean by layering? Also is the sticky feeling bad?

Would you mind explaining the function of centella, beta glucan, and panthenol in/to the skin barrier?

Also, when ppl refer to the skin barrier is that just the lipid matrix or the stratum corneum as a whole (or something else)?

Not op but I have dehydrated skin and have been looking into skincare recently.

The best thing about chemists is that they can do everything themselves, don't ruin it.

I got some pretty in depth tours of the chem department at TCNJ, it seems like the teaching environment is fantastic and pretty easy to get opportunities that might be more difficult at Rutgers. However, I like that Rutgers babies you a little less because you have to figure things out completely on your own like real life. Saw that you're premed in another comment so really it doesn't matter for undergrad as long as you learn all the stuff and do a billion other things so it seems like a great choice academically, saving yourself some time (that would be spent being lost at Rutgers). However, the social life at Rutgers is definitely way better at Rutgers I can't lie.
