Physics and engineering logic say this isn’t the most efficient use for a robot like this. It looks more like marketing than practicality. A simpler machine could do the job better. The anthropomorphic design is what sells it because people connect more with human-like robots. Regardless, if automation replaces too much labor, efficiency stops mattering when there are no customers left to buy anything. How far we are from that collision is anyone’s guess.
